I bet he's out for 4-6 weeks

Schefter just said the recovery time is generally 8-10 weeks. So what is it? lol

When in doubt go with Schefter. Still if you think about it it might be 3-4 weeks for a normal person to heal. A football player is a different story since it might need longer to heal for the sake of doing what it needs to do, in Romo's case standing up to hits from 270+ pound maniacs.

It all depends on where the injury is on the bone as well. It would seem he is most likely done for the year.

giants are the best team in the nfc, in my opinion. they are definitely the team im most worried about in the conference, and we have 2 games with them still. great on defense, solid on offense.

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread (Week 7)

We can beat them.

I have faith in at least a split this year.

I've found a new guilty pleasure - reading (not responding) the cowboy forum as they go through this. I almost feel sympathetic. Naahhh

Good news is we play to the level of our opposition. Whatever happens, odds are the game is decided by three points.

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread (Week 7)

It would not surprise me at all if we beat the Giants twice...we need to protect mcnabb though because like us they've opened up a mash unit on teams

Romo still looks like he wants the serial number on the bullet train that hit him

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread (Week 7)

Our defense has to contain that offense (NYG) which is clicking on all cylinders right now and our offense is going to get obliterated by that defense unless Donovan McNabb starts throwing better and Kyle Shanahan picks up the play calling.

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread (Week 7)

I agree Rbane, Donovan and co better get their heads on straight or the Gmen are going to sweep our asses. We probably can sweep the Boys now, as long as we stay healthy.

The Giants had been flying under the radar all year until now. They look really good. They essentially spotted Dallas 20 points, and have been all over them since.

Their offense is damn good. That young receiving corps is pretty awesome (Nicks is an effing monster), they have two complimentary backs, and Manning is very good behind that O-line.

IMO their only real weakness is LB.

GMScud 10-25-2010 11:33 PM

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread (Week 7)

Wade Phillips is such a hapless loser. How do you not take points there? A FG only puts you behind two scores. And then he looks so stunned on the sidelines. Fail fail fail.

Love seeing Jerrah's plastic face in the owner's box. LOL!!

You think we'll hear anything from Sandtrap the rest of the year?

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread (Week 7)

Dallas is soooo bad. How stupid do all the pundits look now? And all the hater saying how lucky the Redskins were to beat Dallas. Turns out Dallas just ain't that good.

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread (Week 7)

Does anyone know where I can find the fox broadcast map for next week?

We don't play the Giants for a few weeks, lets see how they look and how healthy they are then before we predict wins and loses.

How can you all count us out of anything the way we are playing? We arent the same team we have been.

Swarley 10-25-2010 11:48 PM

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread (Week 7)

for those not paying attention, the Giants have turned the ball over for three straight possessions. I'm sure any team that does that is beatable.

GMScud 10-25-2010 11:48 PM

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread (Week 7)

Dallas is so effing dumb. If they kicked a FG a few possessions ago, this is a one possession game. And why the hell were the Giants still throwing the ball?

Kevin Gilbride is wearing his Mike Martz mask tonight. Why the hell was he calling passing plays like that? You could see Eli mouth "stupid ****ing play" after that one.

Yeah no way we could beat the Giants, they are just to good......

If the Giants somehow **** around and lose... that would be epic.

I stopped watching, did Eli just throw a pick1?

artmonkforhallofamein07 10-25-2010 11:53 PM

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread (Week 7)

yeah, but the cowboys didn't get an onside kick and bradshaw just ran the ball to the Dallas 20. Stick a fork in this game. It's over.

artmonkforhallofamein07 10-25-2010 11:55 PM

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread (Week 7)

Wow.... Dallas D has given up 495 yard this game.

Gruden I don't want to hear it from you now. You were all over the man love for the Cowboys earlier. Dont start to change your tune now..... ugg he is annoying now.

BleedBurgundy 10-25-2010 11:56 PM

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread (Week 7)

yeah, at first i thought the cowboys were going to recover that. they should have...

It will take a miracle for them to come back. How bout them Cowboys? With Romo hurting I think thier season I pretty much over.

artmonkforhallofamein07 10-25-2010 11:57 PM

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread (Week 7)

Gruden just said they aren't a 1-5 football team. Are you kidding me? That is exactly what they are.

You are what your record says you are. They are garbage. They are not a team. Just a bunch of over paid stars...... hmmm... sounds familar. I love watching the Cowboys. FAIL!

It would be real nice if can go up to Detroit and hang like 30 points on those clowns and go into the bye with some mo.

Dallas is so done. I wonder if Swade lasts through the year

Wow- interesting stat- the league implements the strict fines/helmet to helmet stuff during the week, and this week was the 2nd highest scoring average in league history.

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread (Week 7)

If the giants give up points to the skins like this we'll put you out the game :P

They should have had both of those onside kicks.

Bills/Ravens, Kansas City/Jags, and Atlanta/Bengals, and Bills/Ravens games sure helped things out.

Got to agree with you, but they were clearly checked out of this game, lucky it didn't come back to bite them.

It's definite, FF makes you feel dirty. I needed DBryant to get major points, but I definitely wanted the NYG to win. I was sitting happy seeing those last two td to bryant, but I felt so cheap!

On a serious note, Bryant looks like the real thing :(

Still, I feel the Giants are the team to beat. Our o-line and McNabb better get their ass together, when we play that defense. I think our defense is talented enough to keep them from scoring a lot of points, but if our offense lays another egg, we're going to have trouble with them.

Watching this press conference with Wade... wow, this guy just seems like a beaten man. I actually feel bad for him.

Dallas really will finish 4-12 lol and the giants are loaded and legit .
