GOOD STUFF! "Brown confirmed that at least two dozen teams had offered the Bengals draft picks in exchange for a guarantee that the organization wouldn't try to make a deal for Palmer." |

It claims a national print circulation of 690,000 and says 61 percent of its web site readers are between 18 and 44 years old.[2] Since 2007, the organization has been publishing satirical news audios and videos online, as the "Onion News Network".[4]
|

Every change is logged as well. Print is "permanent" and the error may go unnoticed for generations if the subject is even semi-obscure. Wikipedia may have some biases in some articles where the subject lends itself to biased admins ****ing things up, but it's better than a printed encyclopedia from the 70s. And there's a whole ton of spinoffs that may be better or worse depending on their specialty. |

The real question is "Will what they write remain 'published'?". |

Per Adam S. Carson Palmer's house up for sale.

Yeah hard to believe, but supposedly he's set up for life with what he's earned so far and is serious about retiring. We'll see if he's bluffing or not. |

Exactly. I heard Bob Edwards talking about Wikipedia on his show a few years ago and mentioned that most of what was written about him was inaccurate or flat out incorrect. Wiki might be current but if its not accurate it doesnt matter how current it is. |

"Jake Plummer"
And in baseball, Gil Meche - - walking away from $12M guaranteed this season... |
Re: Carson Palmer demands trade, threatens to retire...
Plummer didn't walk away from the type of money that Palmer is threatening to.
|
Re: Carson Palmer demands trade, threatens to retire...
If he's not bluffing then he should retire. No one who loves the game would retire at such a young age with so much left to prove. If he could honestly walk away now then he no longer loves the game and that's not a guy you want to trade for and hand the keys to.

Jordan did. Ricky Williams left. Didnt Deion "retire" from us- just to get out of contract and play resumed with the Ravens? |

What did Jordan have left to prove when he retired? Ricky was a burnout when he walked away. If palmer would really retire with so much left to prove in his career then he's just not the type of player anymore that i would want to trade for. I don't know how the GM's around the league feel about it but that "I will Retire" ploy players use really leaves a bad taste in my mouth about the player. |

True, but Palmer is already financially secure. He does not really need the money. |

Palmer seems pretty determined, could get interesting. I wonder if the Bengles are scouting QBs at the no. 4 pick? |
Re: Carson Palmer demands trade, threatens to retire...
I think Palmer is dead serious. Sounds like the losing and Paul Brown's terrible orgainzation has worn thin on Palmer. But he has to realize that he's part of the problem.

Re: Carson Palmer demands trade, threatens to retire...
Vet min plus incentives. Done.
Seriously, he's obviously not worth it for us. 1) They'd probably want to trade him, and we DEFINITELY don't want to dump more draft picks on old aging QB's. 2) He probably wouldn't want to come here the way we've treated McNabb, lack of consistent offense and wide receivers. 3) Not sure he's much of an upgrade from McNabb, Grossman and Locker who we're going to draft at #10. |
Re: Carson Palmer demands trade, threatens to retire...
Don't even think about it folks, he would be a terrible fit in this offense.
