Grossman has the better matchup.
It's tough to bench Brady, but he's got the tougher opponent and he's working on a short week.
I REALLY hope you started brady, lol. sorry, but when u have an elite quarterback or runnin back, the matchups be damned. you never bench tom brady for grossman, EVER. i dont care if grossman is playing against the junior redskinettes, you cannot bench brady. EVERRRRRRRR......... |
I just traded Foster for Hightower straight, as I think Tate's going to take over that job this year and Foster is going to be lucky to split equally.
Yeah I think that hammy is gonna be a problem all year. Tate looks like he can take the job and run with it. |

Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
Ah yes, I never was burned for taking the #1 ranked RB, but here's the secret:
Whoever was a #1 RB last year WILL NOT BE THE #1 RB the next year. I'm just glad Foster(and Rodgers) won me some Yahoo! casual leagues last year. MWAHAHAHAHAHA |
Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
Probably my best team:
QB: Grossman WR: Djax WR: Santonio Holmes WR: AJ Green RB : McFadden RB: McCoy TE: Hernandez BN: Reggie Wayne BN: Hightower BN: Lee Evans(dropping for Fred Davis) BN: Sproles BN: Mathews BN: Jacobs K: Rackers D: Green Bay I went into the draft ADAMANT about not picking a QB early. It was going to be RB, RB, WR, WR, WR for the first five picks. The result: probably my best draft ever. |
Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
My PPR Team:
QB: Brady WR:Greg Jennings WR:Welker RB: Hightower RB: Ryan Matthews TE: Jermichael Finley Flex: Santonio Holmes K: Janikowski D: New Orleans BN:Cam Newton BN:Skins D BN:Jeremy Maclin BN: Roy Williams BN: Ryan Grant |
Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
Alright so I got OZ raped on my Drew Brees deal but this is my new squad
QB: Phillip Rivers, Rex Grossman RB: Michael Turner (Brees Deal), Willis McGahee (Brees Deal), Ahmad Bradshaw, BenJarvis Green- Ellis WR: Dwayne Bowe, Devery Henderson, Sindey Rice, Mike Thomas, Roy Williams, Antonio Brown TE: Owen Daniels LB: Jerod Mayo, Curtis Lofton, Jonathan Vilma DL: Charles Johnson DB: Tyvon Branch, Jonothan Joseph K: Billy Cundiff I've got to dump some of these receivers. I'm first on my leagues waiver wire so I'm trying to decide who to pick up. The Black Dynamites are 1-1 right now ! |
Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
K need some good damn advice:
Beanie Wells @ Seattle or Javid Best @ Minnesota |
Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
K need some good damn advice:
Beanie Wells @ Seattle or Javid Best @ Minnesota
Jahvid, because he's a great receiving threat too, and Arizona and seattle are both familiar with one another so you're going to see less runs, and long runs aswell. |
Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
Seattle is coughing up a 3.1 avg while Minny has a 4.0 average against the run. That said, both Ds have coughed up 3 touchdowns so far this season.
------------------------------------------- General advice for the masses. DO NOT start any RB against San Francisco. You should have known this last year, but they are STIFLING against the run. |
Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
Wes Welker got me a crapload of points this weekend.
Makes up for the fail game DeSean Jackson had. :Flush: |
Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
Its wierd how Ochocinco has done zero in that offense. I stayed away from him, but i expecting a pretty decent season. Welker 16 catches was amazing.
|
Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
I'm not surprised by 85. There are too many pieces in that offense and other than Welker, Brady never has a favorite target, he'll throw to anyone and everyone. We know Welker will get his catches, so with Branch, Ochocinco, Edelman, the 2 TEs, the RBBC and whomever else they throw on the field, there aren't enough catches for anyone else to be a relevant fantasy player, at least consistently.

Hopefully you win because Moss has 25 points. |
Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
Jahvid Best @ Dallas
or James Starks vs Denver (Grant out, Starks will be the feature back) opinions please...right now I lean toward Jahvid and its not a PPR league. But the Dallas D has been excellent versus the run. Denver middle of pack |
Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
Kinda f*ckin blows that im playing Aaron Rogers in 3 outta 5 match up this week. yeah those 3 teams are gonna lose

Yeah man, Aaron Rodgers possibly just had the game of the season this week |
Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
I had to face that Baltimore defense in one of my matchups. 32 ****ing points on Yahoo!'s default scoring system. DEFENSES ARE NOT SUPPPOSED SCORE THAT MUCH. I should have started Vick and Decker. Damnit!!!!
|
Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
time to start trading in your leagues. if you got certain aspects of your team you need to improve, time to sell high and buy low.
|
Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
I picked up Torain on waiver this week despite having lowest priority... i'm guessing the bye week scared people off.
|
Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
I was going to get him too but I already have Hightower and I just think MS is going to go with whoever's hot. Too hit or miss imo.
|
Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
Yeah man, Aaron Rodgers possibly just had the game of the season this week
I got beaten by a team with Rodgers last week, he accounted for half of the total points of the team that beat me. Ridiculous. |
Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
I've been making a living off of Rogers and Welker.
|
Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
I picked up Benson to get me through this bye week. Not worried about the suspension. Guys are on the bench all the time...
|
Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
Should I start Jimmy Graham against carolinas D or Dallas Clark against the chiefs awful D? Fantasy Experts say I clearly should start Dallas over Jimmy, but Jimmy had 13 points last week, while Dallas had 4 with an unproven QB.
|
Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
Went 5-0 in my leagues this week. Thats right, im poppin collar.
but in my suicide pool im out due to the Giants losing. but eff it, rather see G-men lose than me win another week. |
Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
I had a love affair with Josh Freeman this off season he was to be my dark horse that brought me to Fantasy Gold, that MFer sucks! -2 fawking points this week.
I am down 12 points with Forte going tonight the other guy has Petigraw. Tough to see a win this week. |
Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
Thank you Jahvid Best :)
For an 0-4 team, this was my superbowl LOL |
Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
grumble grumble grumble. F***'ing Jahvid f***'ing Best. grumble grumble grumble.

Ya know I stayed up to watch the game, and I was sure Chicago was gonna put meaningless points on the board just to cause me to lose that dang game. I woulda put 100 dollars on that when Cutler started driving. |

He lost me one game in a league where I'm competitive but won me a game where I was 0-4 coming into the week. Just my luck. |

Sexy Rexy did something similar to me after the Dallas game. I only needed about 15 points...he delivered only a little more than 13. |
Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
Pretty interesting Tebow has already been added in all my leagues.
Also interesting that Cam could lead fantasy scoring in his rookie year. |
Pretty interesting Tebow has already been added in all my leagues.

Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
One of the things about Tebow - In most leagues, passing TD's are 4 pts. and rushing TDs' are 6. Tebow gets a lot of goal line calls and will vulture a lot of red zone rushing TD's in addition to the occasional passing TD. Last year, in traditional scoring, he was the leading QB over the last 3 games.
|
Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
Tebow has that fantasy mojo people crave for, even if he doesn't win any aesthetics contests with his play...kind of like Mike Vick.
|
Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
Gotta feeling WR Greg Little could be a sleeper today against Oakland today
