Had a strong feeling the last few weeks it was Clay simply because they hadn't really advanced it any so it was boiling down to someone close and Clay made some sense.

Also I love Jaxx keeping his word, that scene with the snowglobe was crazy brutal.

Clay again. Damn near certain Clay hired them to make it look like Pope.

That's better than any theory I came up with, which is to say I didn't come up with a theory because I was still stunned at how much Gemma ****ed up at the end of the episode. There's no way Tara or Jax let her near any of her grandkids, at least not for the forseeable future.

Back to the quote at least, your theory is the most plausible. I don't see Pope being the kind of guy that would sanction that sort of an attack, and we already know Clay's MO. Unless they are setting us up for another twist, ala the way things went with Unser today. The whole time I was watching that I was thinking, there's no way they'd give us advance notice that Unser is about to die, they always try to put twists in things so you never know what to expect. Status quo as far as what happened there.

The ambush scene. My gut said Clay immediately, but as others have said they make so many twists throughout the series that you didn't see coming I can't be 100% sure. So did Gemma just zone out from exhaustion or did I miss her taking something? I wonder how she's going to try and pass the blame off like she always does as well. Is it next Tuesday yet?!

She was smoking pot earlier before she took the kids home, so she was probably still high, and possibly tired as well. Either way, it'll be a long time before she gets left alone with those kids again.

I have an older, horrible, washed out TV. During that last scene with her, was that blood dripping? And was Abel knocked out and was that his blood or Gemma's? I couldn't tell.

That was blood dripping, and it was coming from Abel. I'm pretty sure he was knocked out, and from the blood dripping it looked like he got moderately hurt. Doubt he's dead or anything but then again I thought Eli's wife would survive the gunshot wound to her stomach.

Thanks for clearing that up.

p.s. it sounds like Juice may confess to Clay about him being half black. Or else that he tried to kill himself. Not sure.

Gemma is going to say someone ran her off the road and they will buy it especially after what Jax went through.

Juice needs to speak up about clay but unfortunately it looks like the Police Chief is going to rat him out first.

Jamf pretty much called this one! Nice one there dude. Much like the security guard who got offed for taking Opie, I am going to enjoy seeing Frankie get his. And the only way I see Clay living after this season is if Jax's master plan doesn't work and they can't get enough evidence on him. Juice pretty much wrote his own death sentence by confessing to Clay, because if Clay goes down I have no doubts he'd rat out Juice just to try and shift some heat. Of course that's all assuming Eli doesn't out Juice. I love the way everything is being tied together.

That'd be 3 club deaths within this season. And this show is slated to end next season. By then everyone's going to be dead!

Sidenote: I really like Damon Pope. I mean he's a bastard and self serving but he seems fair (even though killing Tig's daughter was unnecessarily cruel, it was an eye for an eye kind of thing) and a straight shooter. And even though doing things for the community is probably to take heat off of him being a crime boss, he does seem to enjoy doing so.

I mean hell, even Tony Montana had a heart deep down.

Pope reminds me of Gus Fring- legitimate business man, operating in the community... but ruthless in the underworld.

Re: Sons of Anarchy

Great episode, I'm curious how far Gemma is going to along with the plan or if her old, scheming self will shine through. I'm also kind of afraid to see how this thing with Juice plays out because I could see him getting sacrificed by Clay to further his ends. The suspension is killing me!!

mooby 11-07-2012 08:41 PM

Well then. Just got around to catching last nights new episode, and I'll try to keep it spoiler free because I'm not sure if everyone else has seen it yet. I'll just say that it looks like the end is near for another guy who has been around since the shows beginning, and it's a shame since I enjoyed his character.

Cray cray.

I didn't comment on this thread last week because I had a lot going on and had to DVR the last episode and didn't get around to watching it till earlier tonight.

p.s. Otto is cray. Tara is kinda stupid for falling for it. She did what she had to do though but ultimately gotten taken down for it.

Juice doesn't make it through the end of the season.

I'm wondering what happens when they find out she brought in the item that wound up being used to kill someone.
Yeah Juice is kinda fd either way. I'm hoping they are not building up something that gets Chubs killed, but I have that sinking feeling in my stomach.
Then you also have the Tig/Poe story to finish. So much stuff, so few episodes!!!!

Re: Sons of Anarchy

No doubt Tara will be an accomplice to murder. She can kiss that career goodbye. I don't see a scenario where they put Tara in prison for a long time while the show goes on, so it will be interesting to see how she gets out of this. I think Juice definitely dies this year, there's no way the club lets him live once they know about it, and it doesn't matter what he does to help take down Clay.

The scenario I see with the best odds of playing out is that Jax never gets his evidence on Clay, Clay lives, Juice goes down at some point from trying too hard to bring down Clay (and failing), and Pope intervenes and takes down Tig when he becomes impatient. If Jax does get his evidence on Clay, then Clay dies, and Tig dies, and probably Juice dies because there's no way Jax forgives him for snitching and killing another club member. Not sure they'd want to kill off that many club members all at once.

Re: Sons of Anarchy

Clay is going through a catharsis, of sorts. Jax is slowly becoming Clay. Sutter is certainly driving down a Shakespearean path.

Re: Sons of Anarchy

Hell of an episode.

Still think Juice gets killed, especially after letting Clay re-stash the legal documents.

Bobby is also biting off a bit more than he can chew.

And the guy stalking Otto and Tara?

Need some mooby insight on this. He's usually pretty dead on about his predictions. :D

FRPLG 11-21-2012 12:29 AM

Re: Sons of Anarchy

I know "who" the Donal Logue character is...not sure what his angle is though. He's a former Federal Marshall. And supposedly he's a badass. It's very likely the intro arc into next season since they seem to be cleaning up the major arcs currently brewing.

mooby 11-21-2012 05:56 AM

Re: Sons of Anarchy

Tbh, I think FRPLG's predictions are more accurate than mine. I wasn't sure who the Donal Logue character was until I saw him watching Tara, and I agree with FRPLG that he's some sort of federal bigwig.

I don't see Juice surviving either, he's had a good run on the show but now that Jax isn't the only one who knows he's a rat, there's no way he lives. With Jax transforming into a "Clay Jr" so to speak, I see him just putting a bullet in Juice by the end of this season. Juice has failed to live up to his end of the bargain in regards to getting the paperwork from Clay, so it's yet another reason for Jax to just get rid of him.

I also don't see Bobby aligning with Clay really working out. From the preview it looks like he said he's doing it to prevent Jax from turning into Clay, but that's already happening. I think it really comes down to if they can get out of Rico. If Rico stays around, Clay lives. And I think Rico stays around because of the new federal suit who came to Charming. Even if Rico is off the table I see him using it as a way to intimidate club members. But that'll be harder to do once Juice is dead, Juice really was the weak link inside the club.

FRPLG 11-21-2012 10:15 AM

Re: Sons of Anarchy

I think RICO is done. They tend to wrap up the "threatening" arcs a little too nicely on SOA and last nights episode felt like one of those situations. I am guessing we'll not be hearing about RICO much anymore.

The main arcs going forward probably are going to be Tara's involvement in the murder and the ensuing legal entanglements and this new guy....which upon relfelction I'm pretty sure go hand in hand.

My guess is that this Logue character, who I know for sure is a forcibly retired Federal Marshall was in some way related to the nurse. Last night we saw him dealing with Otto and watching Tara. The only connection between the two would have to be the nurse. I'm guessing brother because husband seems too obvious and apparently this guy had to be forced into retirement because he was too violent...which doesn't read like he's a family-man to me.

How'd you figure out he was for sure a federal marshall? Did they mention this during the show or have you been doing some outside digging?

(Because, sometimes I do tend to miss things)

Which would be funny, since the nurse is his sister IRL. In fact, they were also siblings in their last FX show, Terriers (an incredible show that didn't last past its inaugural season).

That info is pretty available on the interwebs. I think that fact it is his IRL sister makes it a sure thing...plus the fact that the characters have the same last name.

Nothing about Sons?!

Big episode before the season finale and no one commented!

It LOOKS like the end of the line for Tig next episode, but I can't believe they would show that (as the preview) and then actually kill him off the next show. Something's going to happen to stop that from going through.

Spoilers!

I'm glad that Clay lost his patch. Bout damn time. But he's obviously not going down quietly. I'm wondering if the next episode Gemma is going to tell Jax about Clay's plan to go to Ireland.

Spoilers, highlight to read:

I'm going to make another wild prediction for the week. Jax kills Clay before he gets to go to Ireland. Every big plan the show makes, there's usually a twist. With everybody thinking Clay will go to Ireland, nobody would see right now as the time Jax kills him. But we all know Jax wants Clay dead, period. I can't imagine Jax wouldn't try to kill him if he knew Clay was going to Ireland.

And you're right, it looks like the end of Tig, but if Tig lives then that means Pope wages all out war on the club. I could definitely see that happening just to take the storyline to the so-called "next level", so I am definitely not ready to say it's a certainty Tig dies next week.

One line Jax said that's really seeming to hold true is that the gavel corrupts. He wanted so bad to get out of it all these past two seasons, only to have his actions get darker and darker. I honestly have no clue whose gonna make it and who wont out of those they've teased could die this season. All I know is after next weeks episode it's gonna be a long 9 months until next season.

4 spoiler free things about the season finale:

1) Bobby Elvis sucks. I understand his intent but damn dude, I'm tired of your preaching.

2) Tig really really loves dogs. And I like him even more.

3) Tara is in major shit.

Hey, Tara, wtf were you ever thinking A hole? You're a frigging surgeon. What are you doing dating a biker barely making the ends meet in the middle of the dessert you dumb shit? Move to a city, marry medical device sales rep and make a combined income of 600 grand a year with zero chance of ever getting beheaded by Mexican gangsters or life in jail.

And Jax, move away with your doctor wife you idiot. Let her make triple what you make peddling guns and not getting murdered. Literally sit on your ass for the next 50 years eating Doritos and getting free health benefits from her awesome job. SHE'S A SURGEON! Why is this a tough decision.

I'm done with this stupid ass show. Transformers was more realistic.

WilbursHomie 12-05-2012 01:32 AM
