I'm beginning to hate the Packers. Not because there is anything wrong with them - just because they keep winning.

Of course, if I were a Falcon, I would really hate the Packers.

I think people were just honestly mistaken in terms of the spelling of their respective last names.

Detroit looks like the saints of 09. Packers look like NE of 2004. Both won the super bowl. It'll be great to see those two teams play. Honestly I feel like come playoff time, the packers will be out early.

Quite a few guys are aiming for Marino's record this season. Brady, Brees, Rodgers, and most surprisingly, Newton. Oh, and that loser for the Dallas Cowboys(he won't make it though).

The Eagles are in deep shit against us. They are giving up tripple digits against the run.....

Thats a HUGE problem against a team coached by Shanahan

Also at least Deion is giving us some credit....Yahoo and ESPN yesterday said that the only contenders in the NFC east are the Eagles... no joke you needed to see it to believe it... anyways Deion said the only balanced team in the East is the Skins :)

If we had a QB that was better than Rex playing for us I gotta believe we'd be 4-0

I think the reason why we may win the East is because we have the best defense in the east, And the main reason is because we're the healthiest team thus far. Knock on wood.

I too saw this. I think it was Harrison when asked who would win the NFCE and he said the Eagles then added there is still a lot of games left to get their ship turned around.

Personally I think the Eagles could fix a few thing to make themselves better ie; bring in a DC, look to start stopping the run first, either move their DC back to OL or bring in a new OL coordinator, but will Andy Ried do that? I thinking not cause he's very stubborn and likes to try to prove to everyone his decisions were good ones.

Jack Del Rio could be available soon.

Re: Around the NFL Week 5

^ I could be confusing the DL guy with the DC guy but if Ried would swallow some pride and make a few tweaks it could be fixed. The defense reminds me of last yrs Skins. Teams ran all over us and now with the right personell the Skins are a lot better. So I can see how the scheme might work for the DC next yr but if your looking to make the run this yr they need to change their mind set a little. Instead of getting gashed both through the air and on the ground they need to start stopping one of the two maybe the run and force teams to try through the air to beat them.

Dungy said he was on the band wagon for the Skins to win the East, Harrison chuckled and Costas said "plenty of seats still left on that wagon".

Thing is the Eagles have so much money tied between Nnamdi and Vick. And how big was Cullen Jenkins contract, Cromratie? I think they're going to have to work with what they got. And Trent Cole, when is he a FA?

I don't know what they can possibly do to fix that horrid defense, stop being a one trick pony, prevent other teams from putting the hurt on Vick. The chance of coming back from 1-4 is not only mathematically challenging, it is mentally challenging. At 1-5, the season is most definitely over.

I hope we bury them.

Re: Around the NFL Week 5

The key has to be pressuring and hitting Vick. Also, I am sure Philly we start going back to more bootlegs and moving the pocket. Gotta keep that left-hand side on lock.

Its really crazy how history repeats itself....The Falcons traded away their stud backup QB and handed Vick a giant contract. The next season he was in prison and the Falcons were in dire straits. Fast forward to last off season. The Eagles traded away their stud backup QB and handed Vick a giant contract. I do not forsee him in prison again anytime soon, but what happens to the Eagles when the man they put all of their faith into lets them down? Looks like Philly will be rebuilding soon and it looks like once again, Vick will be the catalyst for that.

I dont see this as being on Vick,he's made a few mistakes but hes had dropped passes and richochets for int's and fumbles
It wouldnt surprise me a bit to see it all come together for them when they play us

Or.... the team could look to build up it's OL to give Vick decent protection and more time for his WR's to get open. They could hire a DC that will work with what he's got or get more pieces to their puzzle the DC might need to fix his defense.

I wouldn't necessarily call Kolb a stud though, but other than that you're right on the money. Not to mention that Reid has been right down Vinny-esque with his offseason moves.

From my understanding, the 49ers use 'Los in more zone coverages than he was used in here. Don't want to make any conclusions, but perhaps that has helped him with the INTs.

Can't rule out good fortune, low sample size and playing better either.

As we have seen it's hard to break the "joke of the offseason" team, with all the yrs we spent and thought we'd take the division. But.... it's nice to see another team having done what we did with great disapointment as well. lol.

I'm not sure what's funnier the fact the team is doing so bad or the fact everyone to include the fans and media thought this was their year, the "dream team" and it was a failure (buying a championship) like it has been for the Skins for 10 yrs.
