Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
Have they not changed their free agency plans in the least given the cap hit?
|
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
Eric Wright played with CLE and DET. He's 26 so he fits our profile of a mid-twenties signing.
|
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
Certainly still in strong play for Winston
Fletcher is a long shot right now, but my gut says it still gets done. |

He was a solid CB with cleveland. Last year in detroit he got picked on as did the other CB houston. But I'd rather have him than old ass newman. |

Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
LOL at people thinking we're keeping all these wideouts. Moss might stay, Armstrong, Anderson, Austin, and Banks are probably all gone, and if Moss does stay they'll probably move him to the slot.
I'm not sure how they'll proceed, Garcon will obviously be #1, Gaffney and Hankerson should be #2 and #3, not necessarily in that order, Morgan should be the #4, and really anything after that is just depth.
I agree that some WR's will be let go but I'd have to imagine they'll keep them up until they have to cut them. Camp fodder if nothing else. |

Fletcher is the heart of our Defense. I know he is old but he doesn't play like it! We need him back and if this cap hit costs us Fletcher I am not going to happy! |
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
Eric Winston to visit the Dolphins.

Never mind.

Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
I would have certainly liked for the Redskins to add Brandon Carr. Eric Wright may be sufficient though. I'm down on DeAngelo Hall and I really shouldn't be. I hope Hall can bounce back after a lowly 2011 campaign or else come next free agency, he might not be on the Redskins.

The entire defense will look better next year just based on the fact that they will be on the field less. |

Great question. Chiefs have money. Could happen. Why we haven't scheduled a visit with him is still a shock to me. He played in this damn offense with his last team! We need a good RT. We were rumored to get a RT in FA. Hopefully this will happen. But I got a bad feeling he'll chase the money somewhere else. |

AdamSchefter: Vincent Jackson deal in Tampa: 5 yrs, $55.55 million, including $26 million guaranteed, $36 million in 1st 3 yrs, $26 million in 1st 2 yrs.

Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
And that's why we didn't get VJax. Thanks Goodell.
|
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
I am not worried about VJAX. I like the moves we've made today. Our WR corp should look like:
Hankerson Garcon Royal Morgan Gaffney and someone else to fill in (Maybe moss) Although I still think we should be talking to the steelers about working out something for wallace. obviously not a first round pick, but maybe picks from next year and/or a player. |

It's debatable how interested the Skins really were. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I wonder if we really were going to play for VJax. Our new FO seems to sit out the really high-priced sweepstakes (like getting Josh Wilson rather than Nnamdi). |

Don't feel bad. He might have saved us from ourselves. VJax can enjoy the hell that is TAMPA. LOL that team sucks and thier owners aren't going to be able to pull them out of it for a while. |

Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
Finnegan to Rams, 5 yr deal worth $50 million total (dunno guaranteed money yet). I knew these #1 CBs would be expensive.
|
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
Finnegan probably wouldn't have been a great fit for us, but we do need secondary help. Who else are we looking at (besides Wright)?
