Billy Cundiff: "You look at the final score and obviously, even if I would've made that field goal we still would've needed 4 more points."
So basically the guy just threw the team under the bus. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. |
Re: Should Billy Cundiff still be cut!
Some breaking news here
After the game Billy Cundiff tried to commit suicide. He hung himself, but the problem was he couldn't kick the chair out from underneath him |
Re: Should Billy Cundiff still be cut!
If that is actually what he said then the answer to this thread question is yes. Case closed.

Re: Should Billy Cundiff still be cut!
Dude lost his mojo, and lost his job. Pro Bowler to worthless, feel a little bad for the guy, but no way he suits up for us another time. let's move on.
|
Re: Should Billy Cundiff still be cut!
The guy is useless outside 50 yards, and now that he's missing short kicks regularly, how can Shanny continue to depend on him? Gots to go!!!

in answer to thread question, "yes, please."

Billy Cundiff: "You look at the final score and obviously, even if I would've made that field goal we still would've needed 4 more points."
That's not taking ownership of his own fault(s). Afterwards he should've been asked about the 9 points he missed last week. |
Re: Should Billy Cundiff still be cut!
Gano. Please
|
Gano. Please
I cant for the life of me figure out why most posters are saying bring back Gano,he sucked,is everyone forgetting that? http://www.thewarpath.net/redskins-locker-room/39416-graham-gano-has-to-go.html |
Re: Should Billy Cundiff still be cut!
Wouldn't it be great to bring Gano back just to see how long it would take for another "Gano has to go" thread pop up?
|
Re: Should Billy Cundiff still be cut!
Cundiff should be cut first thing Monday morning, especially since he is not taking ownership. Gano is not the answer but was better than Cundiff. Rackers might be a better choice. Who else is available?
|

Actually no it wouldn't be great What would be great is if Gano is brought back he becomes an outstanding kicker and we never have another cut Gano thread (But I know what you mean) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Should Billy Cundiff still be cut!
I was surprised when we cut Gano and signed Cundiff in the preseason. Even at practice he was struggling up here in B-more. I also, and I will prob. get killed for this by some, thought Gano was alright in the FG dept. He was good beyond 50 and some of the misses were on the protection. The biggest knock I had on Gano was on kickoffs. I felt he had a much higher than average go out of bounds.

We should sign Josh Brown instead. He was cut because of that Rookie kicker St Louis got. |
Re: Should Billy Cundiff still be cut!
"Josh Brown has to go" just doesn't have the same zing.

LOL KCT - "No Matter Where You Go, There You Are!" |
I say they have a huge tryout. Send the message out to the entire world - sick of your job? Wanna make millions? Come and see if you can kick a 31 yard fg?
I know im being sarcastic but its not like u have to be physically blessed or a great athlete. Somewhere out there is a guy or girl who can kick the hell out of a football ( atleast 31 yards and strait) and they just dont know it. We need that guy or girl here by next week or yesterday if possible. Lets make this happen. Spread the word. Millions of dollars! You couls be said persons agent if u find them and make alot of money too! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Should Billy Cundiff still be cut!
Cundiff always had troubles kicking 50 yards and beyond that distance. For him to miss a 31 yard FG and have made 1 out of his last 5 attempts should be alarming to Danny Smith. They need to either re-sign Gano if he's available or begin working out kickers.

Re: Should Billy Cundiff still be cut!
Gano isn't coming back cause that would make the coaches look bad.
|
Re: Should Billy Cundiff still be cut!
I can't believe he hasn't been released today.

Well they probably will just wait until they sign someone. And that likely won't happen before tomorrow when they'll bring in some kickers for try outs |
Gano isn't coming back cause that would make the coaches look bad.
Exactly. Remeber happy days when the fonz would say he was wrong or sorry. I was wr....wr.....wr..... - that would be shanny. Lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Should Billy Cundiff still be cut!
I personally want to see...Kai Forbath
- 2009 Lou Groza award winner. -10-13 from 50+ yards in his career at UCLA. - 2011 year on IR in Dallas. - 2012 Preseason he's 5-5 including 2 from 40-49 and 2 from 50+. Connor Barth's won the job over him. Edit : Just saw a rumor that he's one that the Redskins are trying out? Would be awesome. |

Re: Should Billy Cundiff still be cut!
Woot! I hope Kai gets the job.. Young stud, who could be a beast.
As a junior in 2009, he connected on another three field goals from 50 yards or more and has now made 9 of 12 tries from that length. Competing with Leigh Tiffin of Alabama and Blair Walsh of Georgia, Forbath was named the winner of the 2009 Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award. Forbath attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where he played for the UCLA Bruins football team from 2006 to 2010. After redshirting his initial year at UCLA, Forbath made 25 of 30 field goals and all 30 points after touchdowns (PATs) for a team-high 105 points in 2007. He became the first UCLA player to record five field goals of at least 50 yards in a season, including a freshman-best 54-yarder versus Oregon. In his sophomore year, Forbath received first-team All-Pacific-10 honors after making 19 of 22 field goals on the season, including his last 13 straight. After being projected as the second-best kicker in the 2011 NFL Draft, Forbath was not selected. However, on August 2, 2011, he signed with the Dallas Cowboys as a rookie free agent, and was subsequently placed on the reserve/non-football injury list. He was waived on April 16, 2012 |

You cut the SOB today and bring back Gano. I don't care, Cundiff's kickoffs are not worth the 30 yard misses.
