Re: Wild Card Chances as Fall Back Option
When do we learn if we get flexed?
|
Re: Wild Card Chances as Fall Back Option
Word on twitter is that we'll know tonight.
Grant Paulsen @granthpaulsen I was told the decision would be made tonight. RT @shepkillion Any idea what time the league will announce flex? |
It is probably taking a while because FOX is probably fighting to keep the game.

Hope this helps. NFL_FLEX_SCHEDULING |
Dallas is so beat up on defense and ware got hurt today also. Romo is on fire lately but I agree we control the clock and no TOs and we win by a score
I wonder how bad Ware is hurt? I would bet he plays |
I wonder how bad Ware is hurt?
I would bet he plays
Well, his production hasn't been the same, so I hope that he doesn't get healthy by next Sunday. |

Schefter confirms redskins-cowboys game is flexed to primetime
|
Re: Wild Card Chances as Fall Back Option
Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter
And here it is: Sources confirm DAL-WAS will be moved to primetime in Week 17. GB-MIN will move to 4:25 ET. the tweet that confirms it too |
NBC pretty much confirmed it too, they showed the FOX games for next week and we weren't on there.
|
Re: Wild Card Chances as Fall Back Option
I think they are about to announce it in the game.
|
Re: Wild Card Chances as Fall Back Option
they are just getting the film clips put together to hype the game.
|
No it's not, Fox has lost out the past two years on these games and aren't happy.
So, is it a given now? |
Re: Wild Card Chances as Fall Back Option
yes it's confirmed

Re: Wild Card Chances as Fall Back Option
Someone will have to help me out. It was my understanding that if the Skins held a 3 way tie between us, Cowgirls, and Giants then the Skins held the tie breaker and would take the division. We were tied all 3 of us last week. This week Dallas and NY lost and the Skins won which means the Skins are 1 game ahead. Even "if" the Skins were to lose and the other two won we all would be back to a tie and the Skins would take the division. So in other words there is no way for the other two to take the division.
How has it now all of a sudden "if" the Skins win they are in? A week ago with the 3 way tie we would be in at that point do to the Skins having a better divisional record. |
We currently have a better divisional record. If we lose next week the cowboys & the skins will have two divisional losses. So, then it goes by common opponent which we lose to the cowboys.
Doesn't matter though because we are kicking their ass next week. |

Thanks to this I promise you there will not be a single ticket left for a cowboy fan to buy |
Re: Wild Card Chances as Fall Back Option
Great, a prime time game on Sunday night. As if my insomnia needed another reason to keep me up.
|
Re: Wild Card Chances as Fall Back Option
I know I am looking ahead here BUT, I had said earlier in the year I hope we don't play SEA in the playoffs. Not only because they look on fire but they have finished all of our playoffs runs of late.
Plus they are my number one team I hate but don't know why I hate them. Maybe it is the ugly uniforms or that nobody outside of SEA gives a poop about them. |
Re: Wild Card Chances as Fall Back Option
My daughter will be at the game doing her share. Now if I can just figure out how to make her break up with her boyfriend.

Re: Wild Card Chances as Fall Back Option
So if the Lions beat the Bears and the Pack beat the Vikings we get a wildcard spot if for some reason Dallas beats us? Is there anything else that could happen to help or hurt us?
|

Nope, we have two ways to get in. We beat Dallas win division, if we lose and Bears and Vikings lose, we would be playing SF. |

We will know before kickoff if we backed into WC spot. |
Re: Wild Card Chances as Fall Back Option
So if we beat Dallas we host the Seahawks at home and if we get the WC we play the 49's away. Hell I'd almost rather play the 49ers away.

Sf doesn't scare me |
I think we r in anyway, the viks will lose to GB and something tells me Chicago losses at Detroit.

Re: Wild Card Chances as Fall Back Option
^^^^^ looked like shanahan scaled back the play book a bit yesterday...any thoughts gtripp?

Re: Wild Card Chances as Fall Back Option
If we beat the cowboys, We'd be the 4th seed and play Seattle (5th seed) at home in the wild card round. If we won, we'd go on the road to face Atlanta (1st seed) at home in the divisional round.
If the Vikings and bears lose, and we lose, we'd be the 6th seed and play sanfransisco (3rd seed) on the road in the wild card round. If we won that, we'd have to go to lambeau to face the packers. Which scenario do you think gives us the best chance of making the NFC championship game? |
^^^^^ looked like shanahan scaled back the play book a bit yesterday...any thoughts gtripp?
I mean, they pulled out a lot of the triple option (with receivers playing the pitchmen) looks that they relied on earlier in the season, but that's consistent with the last couple of weeks. They still use play action and read option very effectively. It's mostly the same offense we've seen all year.
Simplified, sure. Probably because of the opponent and RG3's practice availability. Andy Reid and Todd Bowles did a good job attacking our tendencies. We'll surely have a lot of new stuff that Dallas hasn't seen yet for next week. |

Re: Wild Card Chances as Fall Back Option
Atlanta in the playoffs; Huge Chokers. Would not surprise me one bit if we beat them in the playoffs.
