Re: Skins 38 Browns 21 post game thread
My fight-your-guts-out award goes to Kirk Cousins today. Started 1-6 for 4 yards and a pick in 4 drives, which is probably amongst the most uninspiring starts I've ever witnessed, and you could tell by how much everybody was panicking in the gameday thread (shocker), and yet he continued to FIGHT HIS GUTS OUT! and got us the win in very inspiring fashion. Kudos to you sir, and if the off-chance happens that you get traded this offseason (highly doubt it, and kinda wish it doesn't happen, I'd rather keep him for another year then see where it goes, but in the event someone offers us a crazy good deal for him then I'd be all over it) I hope he has a great career elsewhere, except when he plays us.

The "masses" have been with you for some time now. The vocal minority, on the other hand, does appear to be grudgingly giving credit. Fear not, it is faint praise and will turn with any loss. |

How many starters have we had hit with injuries. I know that football is a rough game but jeez. |

Eff, I jinxed us by repeatedly saying the oline has been surprisingly healthy this season. I'm sorry

I was wrong about Jammal Brown, let me have this one! |
Re: Skins 38 Browns 21 post game thread
Voted for Cousins -- guys showed some real moxie coming back from a bad first quarter to dominate a good Cleveland Browns defense. And I do mean dominate -- he put up a 76.3 QBR. Very impressive.
Also, little side note, does it annoy anyone else when announcers say things like "the sign of a great quarterback is recovering from making mistakes/coming back from adversity". IDK why but it pisses me off to no end -- what job can someone have where it's okay to bow to adversity? |

Yeah lets hope monty is ok..sounds like we may see Josh LeRibeus next week.

Well the majority of draft picks this year have looked great so hopefully he continues the trend. He is the highest one besides RG3 |
Re: Skins 38 Browns 21 post game thread
Outside of winning out, what are the other playoff scenarios? I didn't know if someone had figured it out or if it was posted online. I love reading that stuff.

Re: Skins 38 Browns 21 post game thread
Any more info on the garçon penalty? Seemed weird?

I have not watched the game yet but just looking at the box sheet i have to say we were lucky to get out with a win today. Plus looks like another suspect day of play calling for Kyle.

I heard Mike and Kyle use that strategy for game review....they don't watch it....nothing to be gained..... The ridicularity of that whole thing is pure Jackassery.... |

During the post game, PG said the refs told him it was b/c he did his spin thing in front of a bunch of Browns players so it looked like he was taunting them. |

That was such a bogus call. I think all our WR's have done that, even earlier in the game... |

Isn't there taunting on almost every play now? Meaning it was a bizarre call, ignoring the thirty other times it happened. |
Re: Skins 38 Browns 21 post game thread
We're on this playoff run because of our offense, not our defense. Would be nice to be great on both sides of the ball, but I don't think that's the case here.
Oh I couldn't disagree more. Our offense has been brining it all year. It's our defense that stepped up. By no means has it been great but it has gotten the job done when needed dung the streak. |
Re: Skins 38 Browns 21 post game thread
These dudes need to learn how to walk away and let their play speak for itself....
Always trying to walk the line between what causes a penalty and what does not is nothing but penalty problems and the potential of same..... |

Not really, he spun it and was talking shit to the Browns players. If the Redskins want to win they have stop stupid shit like that, officials will nitpick any little incident. Play smart. |

...and yet those same assholes sit there and watched another Browns player push Garcon after the spin and did nothing. Unreal. Definitely should be fined for that shit. Some horrible calls this game. All of them need to be sit down for a game after that crap game they called. |

So every WR that gets a firstdown, and does some action is going to get a taunting penalty? If they call it that way, fine, but Moss, and Garcon do that nearly every time. I really thought Fletcher should have gotten it after his interception though. He celebrated, took his helmet off, and was flexing over and over. |

That's the difference. Are the Redskins not the most penalized team? |
Re: Skins 38 Browns 21 post game thread
How about you hand the ball back to the ref and get your ass back to the huddle and do it again never giving them any reason to throw a flag.

Just want to point out that Kirk Cousins has won more games that he's started than John Beck has in his entire career...

Exactly. Than he continued to talk alot of smack several times in the game. Skins fans at the bar were like "dude shut the **** up!" Lol Edit: that being said the officiating was terrible |

Bold prediction:
After the season, Kyle takes a head coaching gig in Kansas City or Oakland... And he takes rg3 with him. 3 1st rounders. You heard it here first. |
