I think Griffin, and the team, would explode if the coaches tried to keep him out of that game.

skinsfaninok 12-23-2012 11:19 PM

No! This team is winning the division, they are so hungry and even if we get in before the game starts I'd be shocked if anyone sits

Nobody would pass up the chance to win the division and host a playoff game. C'mon now.

Re: Redskins 27 Eagles 20 post game thread

• It's time to quit scoffing at the idea of Washington making a deep playoff run, and dare we even say it, reaching the Super Bowl? If the Redskins win next week at home against Dallas to clinch its first NFC East title since 1999 (wrap your mind around that one), they will enter January with an NFC-high seven-game winning streak and the kind of confidence that can be contagious in the playoffs.
They'd be far hotter in terms of a potential Super Bowl run than the 9-7 Giants appeared to be upon winning the NFC East in 2011, even with Eli Manning at quarterback rather than rookie Robert Griffin III. And while the notion of Washington winning at Atlanta, Green Bay or San Francisco in the postseason might sound implausible, is it really that much more of a reach than New York winning at 15-1 Green Bay or 14-3 San Francisco in last year's playoffs?
The Redskins have been playing with house money for weeks now, ever since their head coach Mike Shanahan shrewdly decided to take the pressure off his team by all but conceding the season and looking toward 2013 (I suppose he could have been that brilliant, but I doubt it). If there's a bigger karma team in this year's postseason -- or almost in it at this point -- I don't know who it would be outside of Washington.

Just wanted to state my excitement for every time i watch Alfred Morris. What amazes me most about that man is how he can grind and grind and grind down the defense and just keep on grinding until he wears them down and then just begins to run all over people. He started off with 18 yards in the first half but didn't let that get to him and the coaching staff continues to feed it to him and he finished with 73 yards in the second half. HES A BEAST.

An F-5 tornado of terrible destruction. A hurricane of massive proportion.

That's right Washington. The Dallas Cowboys are coming to town and nothing can save your Redskins from being the victims of a team that has proven over the last half of the season that there is absolutely no quit in them. No matter the deficit or circumstances they believe and have shown that they can overcome.

They had a tough game today, a game many said they had no chance of winning with 5 minutes left...but these Cowboys are different and will not give up so easily.

And now they're angry.

Get ready for the War of 1812 part 2 D.C.. Only instead of your rat infested town being burnt to the ground it will be whatever hopes and aspirations you might have had regarding your pathetic football team.

You will be crushed, demolished and outright embarrassed.

No need to practice or prepare because no amount of readiness will save you from utter destruction.[/B]

This was magnificent -- nothing like a good laugh to put you on top of the world

I didn't see it that way. Kyle used a limited playbook to protect RG. It was a gutsy all team performance similar to what the Steelers did in their prime. We pounded the rock even though big gains were hard to find.

This was a statement game in many regards. For RG as the undisputed team leader, for Tue coaches, and the franchise.

It was obvious, Kyle wanted to limit all of the options and design runs for griff. Good overall playcalling IMO

Big talk for a team thats Inconsistent and almost lost to the Browns at home......Do these people honestly believe RGIII won't be at 100 percent? Do they honestly believe we have fairweather fans that won't be rivaled in noise level to the Seahawks? Do they really believe that with the title on the line and the chance to eliminate our bitter rival that we won't come to play?

I absolutely love trolling Cowboyszone.com -- there is a thread right now about how Romo only needs 315 yards for 5000 for the year "which he will definitely get".

I just posted:
He only needs 1 more loss for another choked away season.

Bahahaha...sorry, I like to laugh at my own stupid jokes.

I must say I really dislike how this tiebreaker works, Basically the we can lose next week have the better conference record and still miss the playoffs? That makes about as much sense as the 1 loss teams in the SEC being in the national title when a little guy is 12-0 and beating the big boys. The NFL needs to fix that common opponents should come after conf wins. I mean I think it's stupid that our loss to the Steelers an AFC team can eliminate us from the playoffs against a team that wouldn't have a better conference record.

Wouldn't be fair really. Like the fact the Giants had to play the Packers and we got to play the Rams (even though we lost). If you use win % of the common opponents, it makes it more fair.

That won't be a conversation of course if the redskins just take care of buisness and win the game. Cowboys I think will have alot more to lose than us...if Romo's attempting 60 passes a game thats a bad deal for him. Oh and apparently there's a chance RGIII will go against a Ware-less Dallas D

out of all the questions about this team, one that I do not have is whether Griff can handle the pressure. So far he has done nothing but absolutely thrive in those moments. I expect to see. quite the show next week, and win or lose, Griffin will be up to the task.

Anyone who likes the NFC East and likes football knows the Skins are the best team there right now and this is when you want to play your best and the Skins are doing that.Remeber once the playoffs start it's a new season! As for the Giants,to me they look tired, they have gotten old quick and need a rebuild,Ol,LBers,DB's and RB's and a new Dline.Yeah I know there still might be a chance for them but at this point I almost feel it would better for them not to go to the playoffs.Anyway congratulations and beat the Cowboys!

Pressure seems to have little effect on RG except for maybe making him that much more dangerous against opponents. The only reason to sit RG would be if his knee gets worse. If RG is healthy next week vs the Cowboys, we have a very good chance of winning that game. No doubt the Cowboys will be putting up the points, we need to make the most out of every drive, RG gives us the best chance of doing that.

If RG is healthy, its a no brainer. Gotta Go With RG3!

He's known as a sideline puker, he usually tosses right before the game. Nerves I guess.
