I honestly think the week off hurts teams they get rusty
I think it depends on the team, veteran teams usually use the week off to good use, but young teams like Denver usually come off rusty. That is why I am hoping Houston can pull the upset. Kaepernick just made an emotional, young play, still looks like Vince Young out there running like that. |

So does Colin get yelled at for not sliding?

Was it dallas where they passed it on 3rd down to Paulsen? Whichever game it was a great play. |

yep, or even 2nd if they can make an incompletion take to the 2min warning.(think it was like 17 seconds which would be a very long play obviously). |
Re: Around the league divisional weekend
Lucky bounce by that Rodgers fumble.

Re: Around the league divisional weekend
And that is the reason why Brady is better than Manning. How many times has Manning thrown an INT in the playoffs? Enough to lose like 3-4 times.
Agreed. Brady 16-6 in the playoffs vs Manning 9-11, records speak for themselves pretty clearly IMO. I wouldn't give a crap if every opposing fan thought our QB was an asshole, if we were fortunate enough to have a QB lead us to that kind of playoff success I honestly would laugh in the face of every single one of them. |
All kaepernick wants to do is run

And the Packers still can't figure that out. |

Makes me really wonder what a healthy RG3 could do in the playoffs. |

We would be in the nfc title game |
I hope Houston, Baltimore or Atlanta wins it. A lot of deserving players on those teams. And Houston and ATl has never won it
It's nice to see Atlanta becoming a power house as even though the fans got a bit of frontrunner in them they've suffered for a while. I remember back when they made to the Super Bowl in 98 there was a story about how the Falcons biggest fan who had attended virtually all of their games use to leave extra tickets on his windshield for anyone who wanted to see the game. When he got back to his car after the game he'd find more tickets left on his windshield. Plus at the very least Matt Ryan is a good guy as is the owner Arthur Blank though he does make me a little nervous as he tends to Jerry it up on occasion with sideline visits in close games. |

If anyone knows the pistol formation inside out it's Kaepernick, he's coach at the U of Nevada is considered the designer of that formation. |

When knees start to get blown out. |
They keep running him like that he is going to get killed, that offense will never last long in the NFL, defenses will figure it out. lol

I just got a text that said " Griffin isn't anything special he's just like kaep and Wilson, run first qbs that won't last "

I guess he would rather have a QB that lasts a long time and can't win big games then. |
Everyone is going to say griff won't last long, us as skins fans will just have to live w it

Anyone else think clay Matthews is overrated?

So do you guys still think Greg Roman is a dink dunk OC? LOL

I always have, and BJ Raji. |

Personnel dictates what type of offense you can run. The threat of the read option opens up passing game. |

Seattle should sue the NFL for scheduling this game they way they did. They're basically playing at 10 AM their time. Not to mention they have to be there 3 or 4 hours before the game making their wake up time between 5 and 6 AM. Why they couldn't switch with the Houston-New England games 4PM EST slot is beyond me. Society continues to discriminate against insomniacs such as myself. However we continue to remain patient as our time will come. While the early risers sleep we're awake to plan our next move. |

That's what people were saying When Smith was the QB, I know Roman's style when he had Luck at Stanford. Many people here said he had a dink dunk offense which I disagreed with. |

Re: Around the league divisional weekend
I find it funny and ironic that people are killing Green Bay's defense, and giving Rodgers a pass, yet killed Manning in his loss and said nothing about the terrible defense.

Even so it's ridiculous to risk loosing viewers for the first half because people on the West Coast are recovering from going out on Saturday night. |
Re: Around the league divisional weekend
Just remember, the read option is only a gimmick.
|
Re: Around the league divisional weekend
Kap almost has 200 yards rushing. 49ers running the read option and now in the pistol. Seahawks doing the same.
Ahhh what could have been,...if he had just stayed healthy. Man! All the attempts of the NFL to try and make it a passing league. Peyton Manning going home. Discount double check going home. Guess the NFL will have to change more rules to prevent the run game. |

Nope Rodgers is playing like butt too, but the Packers defense is easily the reason they are losing this one, whereas manning throwing a pick 6, fumbling the ball in their own half of the field, and then throwing the int in OT is pretty deserving of getting a fair amount of the blame in Denver's loss. |

Lets see what happens to the 49ers offense when they actually play an NFL caliber defense in the playoffs. |

Subtract 7 points of those 24 points for Green Bay. Defense scored on a pick six. So that leaves a paltry 17 points for a potent offense like Green Bay. Last time I checked. 88 QB rating is better than 78. The logic is mind boggling in these debates...lol |
