I've known Trestman for years, big fan of his.

Funny story about him and the Redskins....[/quote]

Yeah I've heard he was contacted as a possible coaching replacement once Shanahan declared the season was for evaulating after the Panther loss.

Somewhat accurate, give the source his credit though

Chicago will start to fall down like usual, Cutler is bad and their D isn't good anymore. I expect 8-8 from them at best

Is there something funny you want to tell us about him and the skins besides the fact he was almost our head coach?

And skinsfaninok, the bears are a good team that remind me a lot of the Ravens last year.

You going to credit where you got this info from?

Re: Stick a fork in em', they are done!

Smoot, with all due respect, I'm not asking you to name the specific people you get your info from, so therefore I'm not naming my source. All ill say is that this person also told me we were getting Robert back around the time he had just won his Heismann (which I had shared on this site). This person is a neighbor of mine. This person works in the FO. And has appeared on a TV camera before.

What's so hard about citing this as your source?

Your neighbor gave you misleading info.

Couple of things

1) I was told this almost a year ago. I'm paraphrasing here. The jist of the story I got is trestman could have been a coach for us.

2) how do you know your source is giving you misleading info? I do know organizations will "leak" out info purposely to mislead parts of the media.

3) give us your take then (I'm not asking for your source)

So Danny was thinking about booting Shanny at the end of the season for Trestman?

Well since Trestman is a offensive guy, my guess it would have been to replace Kyle?? Getting warmer?....lol

What we needed was a replacement at DC. Ughhh...

That is not a good answer to Ruhskin's reasonable question. Citing sources is the honest and respectful thing to do and "what posts may follow" doesn't change this.

Where are you to do this to smoot? Why do you care? A lot of sources talk on anonymity. I gave a reasonable enough citing earlier.

We have moved on. I suggest you do to.

No, you gave no citing earlier. And you are famous in this parts for not offering attribution. Again, it is simply honest and respectful to cite sources.

smoot actually works in the industry, so i'm sorry (well, actually i'm not) but i trust him a lot more than someone that has no real basis for his info beyond "i said so" or "i heard it from a guy who knows... no really, i swear."

So, moving on to the actual topic of the thread, Atlanta. Wow. 1-4 -- I would not have predicted that. And Julio Jones may be out for the season.

I would stick a spork, but not a fork...not just yet with Steven Jax coming back

With no Julio Jones and a banged up R. White, Atlanta is going to have no passing threat. Teams will just stack the box and stop Steven Jax. It's not like he's AP to take over a game and be the sole producer on offense.

Is this stick a fork in the Falcons or the Skins? The Skins defense or lack there of has been the problem. There's also the obvious questions about the offense (i.e. the running game). there has been huge regression from last year. With the defensive emphasis on stopping the RO the skins have no run game, and the defense is abysmal. Which really means that they need to develop a pro passing game (the pro passing game does not rely on run fakes).
