Yup, or Zorn as the HC with no qualifications.... but I think the history of this franchise over the last 15 years is very different if Mary had time to be the coach. Not saying Super Bowl wins or anything; but it wouldn't be such a freak show.

Feel like what we really need is a new owner, so this stuff doesn't keep happening. He will just hire the next the Shanahan or Zorn.

I agree, the only constant through this whole mess has been the owner but he's not leaving so the organization is stuck with him. I think whoever the next coach is will be here mostly for the $ because after DS has churned through 8 coaches the new guy has to know he's not suddenly DS's dream guy. IMO, as long as DS is the owner this roller coaster circus will continue so we better get used to it.

SS, is are there any rumors regarding Snyder/Allen hiring a GM before a new HC? Would they bring AJ Smith as the full-time GM?

Zorn was on Vinny.

Dan's made myriad mistakes, including the Shanahan hire, but I give credit for handing the reigns over to football guys. Shanahan was a bad first step, but with BA in house I have confidence the next move will be in the right direction.

All it takes is finding the right coach and a solid offseason. Let's see what happens over the next several weeks y'all.

Question, whose the next head coach to get fired? Is it Shanny? Rex Ryan, Schiano, Fraizer,...or more of a surprise, Mike Smith, Garrett, or Schwartz ?

If any of those names (excluding Mike Shanahan of course) were to be fired, you better believe I'd snatch up Mike Smith in a heartbeat.

LOL, someone should ask MS about this in the post game interview. LOL.

"Sir, did you know or have any idea that your son got arrested 8 yrs ago? Could you elaborate on the issue? What? No I mean did you bail him out, was he sorry, was he embarrassed? did he pay is debt to society? Has he done it since then and just not gotten caught?"

I have the best kept secret......

JEFF REINEBOLD
Special Teams Coordinator

Jeff Reinebold - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It seems where ever he goes he makes a team better. He's been just about in every league. Currently with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats as a Special Teams Coordinator. Which is exactly what we need. lol.

I was looking at the Toronto Argonauts HC on Youtube and was going to post a joke about bringing the HC here next year as HC, I then noticed both the Tiger-Cats and Argonauts were in the play offs together. Then I noticed the Tiger-Cats Special Teams looked pretty good so I had to look up who the coach was and ... thats how I kinda came across Jeff Reinebold.

Watch for yourself. Also note both teams run an Option offense. or so it looks.

Keep hearing how people don't want retread HC's. Just about everyone mentioned people have issue's with.

Keep hearing how people want an up and comer who will be eager. But yet again we can't agree on them either. No one wants another Spurier.

I think I have an amicable solution and one that has not been tried yet believe it or not: Bring in someone from the CFL who has won their Grey Cup before.

More importantly than who will be the next coach, who will be the next GM that (hopefully) will be selecting the coach? I dug up this list of potential candidates from a BR article this spring..

10 NFL Front Office Personnel Men Who Will Be General Managers | Bleacher Report

A couple of intriguing candidates.. Gutekunst looks like he's got some scouting chops, Jason Licht has a nice pedigree of organizations he's been a part of.

I know the prevailing thought from those in the know is that Scott Campbell and/or Morrocco Brown would be strong internal candidates but to be honest, leftovers from the Cerrato, Gibbs, Zorn and Shanahan regimes? Thanks but no thanks.

Yea, I'd redo the whole front office. Keep Allen on up but everyone else...bye. Scouting, Athletic training...bye, PR department....bye, get some real business people in to fix the whole organization from seats to tickets to food to field turf, etc. etc. bye.

Maybe with a whole new Front Office attitudes and expectations will be different.

Morocco is basically the favorite and will probably get it if-as expected-Allen moves to a different role, but I agree that we could probably do better.

Couple of names to think about-Tag Ribary and Duke Tobin

Smoot, is Ribary and or Tobin actually being actively pursued by the Redskins? Because if so, I would rather go with one of them (probably Ribary) than to promote Morocco. Brown just seems like wild card to me, and we can see how well the Bengals and Seahawks are doing.

Great call! That would be totally unprecedented. Gruden could even hire his little boy to be the QB coach.
