1. he is only a few months away from being a college frat boy (of epic party douche proportions we will never experience, may take time to change)

2. the browns need something ... anything ..... different form the cycle they have been in since the days of mack running loose. they need to become relevant again.

Yeah, I've been hearing great things about Teddy's deep ball and overall game lately. Obviously they're still in shorts, but...

And yes, Teddy and Carr haven't made any negative headlines at all so far. Manziel needs to take a lesson from them and the countless veterans around the league who are conducting themselves properly, because I can't see Manziel succeeding if he doesn't mature. Terrance West and Paul Kruger have already said that Manziel has been a distraction to the Browns.

Gotta remember these are men, though. Not gonna pretend that a few headlines about a rookie are going to destine the team for failure.

The reason Carr/Bridgewater haven't stirred up controversy is due to the fact that their names aren't Johnny Manziel. Neither of them have the talent that Manziel has or live under the microscope like he does. Carr will falter just like his brother did. Bridgewater slid for many reasons. The Vikings would've been in better shape if they took the QB the Pats picked up.

I laugh at the people defending Manziel, but he's his own worst enemy. Is he doing anything wrong by going out, drinking, hanging with celebs? Absolutely not. Is he drawing uneeded attention to himself? Absolutely yes.


What this tells me is Manziel doesn't make good decisions. If he can't make good decisions off the field, what makes people think he's going to make them on the football field? How stupid do you have to be to carry a stack of cash around? What does that tell you about his decision making ability? While his antics aren't harming anybody, the position he plays demands a lot in the way of good decision making and maturity, which he's shown absolutely none. I really don't expect this kid to go far.

You can be a total fucktard and still win in college. There is a huge difference in college and in the NFL. It's not even remotely close on any level. That's the problem why a good deal of these players don't succeed at the next level is because they skated through high school/college on their dominance over the lesser competition. They in turn think it's going to be just as easy in the NFL and soon come to a sudden reality they weren't expecting.

From what I understand, Payton stated his opinion... that Graham isn't a WR. Which I agree with. But he's also not a TE.

Hybrid TEs/jokers aren't TEs, nor are they WRs; designate a new position, call it a joker or whatever, and put the franchise tag number in the middle, around 9 million. Outside receivers have more market value, but Graham would also get more money in the open market than a traditional TE. Seems like the most logical solution to me.

I think Graham comes across looking like an a** to a lot of people, but I don't see anything wrong with him wanting to get paid fairly for what he does. The franchise tag system being faulty isn't his fault.
