Does that mean we will show up on Hard Knocks? I can't remember if, in the past, they showed the practices with other teams.

I know it won't be a focus of the show, more of a cameo if at all.

DJax was holding a mini camp for kids at the rec center in DC literally a 2 minute walk from my house.

Unfortunately I had to work late that day so I couldn't go over and take pics. Sad days man. I was so excited to see him.

I noticed on second team offensive line that Takoby Coefield wasnt mentioned. I thought they were high on him, being ass they gave a 25k signing bonus.

He should be a project guy on the practice squad if he makes the team. Him not being mentioned isn't particularly surprising considering the draft and FA signings on the oline.

He will be pretty low on the totem pole as a rookie UDFA.

Really have to wait until guys put on pads and a helmet until we can start analyzing who is really showing up on the field...but it sounds like Skip already has his training camp hero in place and its never too early for that.

Knighton may be the steal of free agency. But I'd prefer him to do his talking when the pads are on. There was a reason Denver decided not to resign him.

Overall these off season practices w/out pads won't mean much come September. If I hear a story about how well or how poorly someone is playing in OTA's it just doesn't mean much right now. I was listening to the radio the other day and they were already drooling over Matt Jones. Just ridiculous. He hasn't even been hit yet.

I wouldn't call him a training camp hero of mine. I just thought, after reading about him once we signed him and them making a big deal about his bonus, that maybe he had more potential. Either way the media got me that time. Could be that im just not a fan of Le-Rib. Haven't heard much, or probably anything, about the other guy Nysheke or whatever either but he is second team going in to minicamp. I understand it's early, just like to know what to expect.

I consider Mitch to be credible so when he said that he thinks the Skins will be drastically improved this season I started to get excited.

Glad we brought in a QB Coach. I think he will definitely help. Not saying one will turn into a star, but I do think it has hurt the development of RG3 and Cousins not to have a coach dedicated to their position.

It seems like we're finally trying to do stuff in a conventional manner. Even in the past few years when things started shifting away from the crazy that was this org we still had weird coaching and FO structures. Coaches kids calling plays (not that he was unqualified or even bad at it but it certainly was weird in a way) a GM who wasn't actually terribly qualified to make on field decisions. Before that a HC who wasn't much better at at being GM than the one who succeeded him.

I do too. He values trench play, which is the engine in the car of a football team. It's easy to see that we've improved personnel wise in the trenches, plus Callahan.

However without hitting it's hard to know what red zone offense will look like. We need to be a team that pounds the ball in, and I think that's what they're going for. No doubt Scherff's selection is a nod to that.

We won't know how we're doing in that regard till training camp and preseason. The red zone approach for this team should be line up and maul people.

Putting aside the awesomeness of the phrase "I don't care too less anything about nothing" .... i like that he views last year as a positive one, i like that a receiver has confidence (required for that position) and it seems like he uses the eagles release as motivation.

More revisionist history! He [U]arrived[/U] in Washington so out of shape that he couldn't pass the minimum physical standards to even practice. So exactly when and where did he lose his passion for football? It certainly wasn't with the Redskins in D.C.

I think it was the instant he signed the huge contract. He was set for life then and he decided that he didn't have to work anymore because he was going to get paid no matter what. Everything he said about proving that he was worth the money, his desire to be in the HOF, etc. was disingenuous.

Also, I have [U]never[/U] in my nearly 60 years of following the Redskins seen another Redskins player give up on a play and lie on the field resting while the play continued. That incident in Philly said far more about him than the baloney he's regurgitating now.
