Get Tre Boston on the phone.

Re: NFL Draft Rounds 4-7
We could have had Samia and Thompson in round 4.
You are EXACTLY RIGHT. This is why I said skins suck at 4th round. They had it served up to them and said no thanks, an injured rb, and a guard that no one has heard of |
Re: NFL Draft Rounds 4-7
Have you even seen this guys play?
Thank you for making my point. No one has. Meaning we could likely have used the 4th on something else and gotten him later. Who knows, perhaps he's the next Russ grimm |
Re: NFL Draft Rounds 4-7
Flowers about to be a 4 million swing linemen. Martin will be a day 1 starter.
|
Re: NFL Draft Rounds 4-7
At this point the value is there for a second WR (Kelvin Harmon), a LB (Mack Wilson, DeAndre Walker), or CB (Boyd or Oruwariye) with our next pick.

The Cardinals are having themselves a nice draft.

Re: NFL Draft Rounds 4-7
I don't see Martin getting reverse pancaked in pass protection. Upgrade.
|
Re: NFL Draft Rounds 4-7
I don't care who made that tape of Martin. That tape shows play after play after play of him dominating top competition such as Michigan, Ohio State, and Michigan State. Half the time his man doesn't even get off the LOS on passing plays. He's mirroring his man, getting to the second level on running plays, picking up blitzers, knocking player after player down, finishing all his blocks, driving people five yards and more downfield. What is not to like?
This guy could be a steal! If not, then just remember; if you're going to miss on a player then miss big - and he is big and incredibly strong. |
Re: NFL Draft Rounds 4-7
Last two picks are garbage.
|
Re: NFL Draft Rounds 4-7
Emmanuel Hall wr? What is left? Not seeing much in the safety area unfortunately CB Kris Boyd? We missed on safety. Of course we can get just a guy as a project

Re: NFL Draft Rounds 4-7
I like the Martin pick. A lot. But I think getting Thompson with that pick and then Martin at our early 5th would have been smarter. I think he would’ve still been there

These guys are all still there and all good choices. |

Sometimes the Skins seem to err on the side of taking their gem too early.

Re: NFL Draft Rounds 4-7
I say take another WR based on what's out there, unless you can convert a cb to free safety. Really this is down to everyone has similar value otherwise.

Mack Wilson please.

Bryce Love may be my favorite pick of the draft:

Ross Pierschbacher. I like it.

Re: NFL Draft Rounds 4-7
More O-Line ... can't go wrong there.
|
Re: NFL Draft Rounds 4-7
Nice! A solid olineman! yay
|
Re: NFL Draft Rounds 4-7
I say we are set on the OL, 2 solid picks.
|
Re: NFL Draft Rounds 4-7
I did not see that coming, but I sure do love it! Great move to shore up the questionable guard call. In comination now it makes sense. My apologies!
|
Re: NFL Draft Rounds 4-7
But if they wanted a center, why not Michael Jordan?, The 2 osu guys must have given some inside info about him that wasn't flattering or something? Who knows...I am just glad they doubled down on interior oline!!! Phew...so we don't get a safety, call tre boston

Re: NFL Draft Rounds 4-7
Double dip up front. I like it.
Get Kelvin Hamon next pick. Or a blocking TE. |

Re: NFL Draft Rounds 4-7
I had never even heard of Wes Martin before today. Don't remember seeing the name on fanspeak. But he looks like a fucking ox. Our guards are putting dicks in the dirt in 2019.

Kris Boyd or Kelvin Harmon with our next pick (assuming they are still there).

Re: NFL Draft Rounds 4-7
Roll Redskins is back in business.
|
Re: NFL Draft Rounds 4-7
What is there not to like about what we're doing? Love was the best back in the country in 2017. High character complete type of back. Just hope he doesn't keep getting the injury bug. Then two o-linemen. This draft on paper has been just about perfect.
|

There was no way they were going to go an entire draft and not take someone from Bama. |

It's not Love the player it's the board, our needs, and his injury. Thought there were better options. But I will gladly accept being wrong if he balls out. |

I’ll be happy if/when we get a safety. And ILB would be nice |
Re: NFL Draft Rounds 4-7
People complain about Martin then love the Alabama guy. Martin looks like a beast compared to the Bama guy. Martin is gonna be our starting left guard this year. Watch.
