Re: NFL Free Agent Signings 2020
BREAKING: Tom Brady has an agreement in principle to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The deal is roughly $30M per year. (via Ian Rapoport)
Feels weird. But it'll be interesting to see how much Brady and Belichick each want to prove how much the 6 rings were their individual doing. Despite the bucs' impressive roster, I think this will be remembered as the biggest mistake made by TB... but he got paid so I guess he'll be ok with it. |
Re: NFL Free Agent Signings 2020
I think they'll both be successful. The Bucs might not be successful as a team, but that's because Brady can only do so much. If they have a shitty defense it won't matter how good Brady is. I think one reason Brady and Belichick were so successful together is because they both had a work ethic that complimented each other.

The Chargers and Phins may look at him too but it wouldn't shock me.. I don't think RR is really high on Haskins... |

You keep saying that, and I know you have some bit of track on notes, but I would like to know why. RR seems to me to be giving Haskins enough rope to hang himself with, but I don't see anything that says he wants to pull the chair out and let him drop. |

I'm just guessing here and most of it has to do with him not drafting DH, we'll see what happens |

Giants looking at Matt Moore to fight it out with Alex Tanney for the #2 spot behind Danial Jones.

Brady could draw in guys willing to take a discount to play with him. |

Let's hope they have interest in Trent and he lowers his asking price enough to work out a deal and we get that resolved. |
Re: NFL Free Agent Signings 2020
I think Brady is going to have a hell of a year if they can protect him. You have good weather, two dome teams in that division and 3 so so defenses. He's going to put up some numbers and may play for 3 more years if his body holds up. They should get a really good runner in the draft, like the kid from Wisconsin. My only concern is Arians will not protect him. Tampa will have a top 5 offense next year.

I have a feeling the zebras will help a lot with that. I think he will get some pretty preferential treatment, especially since he left the Patriots. |

Simply out of concern for Tom Brady's well-being, I'm sure that the Skins would be happy to supply him with the protection of a solid LT for the bargain price of a mere second round draft pick this season. |
Re: NFL Free Agent Signings 2020
If they are THAT concerned about Tommy Bs safety they would give us a 1st :D

Flacco released lol
Just another one of Elway's brilliant QB moves |
Re: NFL Free Agent Signings 2020
please do not bring him to DC

Re: NFL Free Agent Signings 2020
At some point we do need a backup QB though.

Per pft
Straight up released? Dang .. the Rams are in cap hell. Perhaps went to hard to fast in adding pieces. Brandin Cooks you could probably get for a 3rd day draft pick but who wants to pay 17M per. edit - rams had to do it before 10.5 vested to guaranteed money .. but it appears they will still take on 20.1 MILLION DOLLARS in dead money. that is the most dead money i can ever remember seeing. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/los-angeles-rams/todd-gurley-16734/ Who are they gearing up to sign? Are they making moves to clear space to sign someone? |
Re: NFL Free Agent Signings 2020
Do not invest heavily in running backs.

They also released Clay Matthews. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk
I just edited my post you quoted, appears they take on 20.1M in dead money for Gurley .. insane. I feel like this cant be right and Im missing something. Cooks release = 20.8M in dead money. They are better off calling Bill Obrien and trading Cooks and his contract for a 6th rounder. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/los-angeles-rams/brandin-cooks-14429/ Of course, Bill would insist on making it a 2nd. |

His value sure dropped like a rock once those injury issues hit in the 2018 play-offs. |

Or be one, either. Seems like they have the least financial security of all NFL players while having the highest mortality rate. That is a crappy combination. |
Re: NFL Free Agent Signings 2020
Man...it sucks for Gurley. But obviously we shouldn't be investing in another RB with knee/leg injuries. I think we are maxed out there
|

Dallas signs HaHa CD
lol good luck to them.. Dallas has taken a big step back on defense |
