He said that? Honestly I really have had enough of this guy. Not only is he a poor coach, but he seems to be in deep deep denial about it. He must think we just started watching football also. I used to preface these comments with “he is a nice guy” and all that jazz but so is my Dad and I don’t ever want him coaching my football team because of that.
Does he realize his seat is getting warmer? I mean for God sakes Ron bench someone (named Landon Collins), or fire someone. Take play calling away from someone. Curse out the damn dude selling expensive beers. Anything. Just enough with this “i see improvement “ bullshit. Either he is a fucking liar or he is more god damn oblivious to what is transpiring in game than what I thought.
yeah he said it on his conf call today...
and here is our answer...
Ron Rivera made it very clear: no changes on D with scheme change/coaching moves, etc. "That makes no sense to me right now." Keim
At least move Collins to LB and Bench Mccain |

Positive is “we are going to keep working until we get better”. Calling yesterday an improvement isn’t positive it is oblivious. I do not want oblivious. |

Re: The Bad Coaching, Offense, and Defense Post-Game Thread
Do the Cowboys have any better talent than we do on defense? I know we don't have anyone like Diggs but it's not like they have tons of talent on d, yet they have seemed to right the ship.

I don't think they have better talent. Statistically the two teams are pretty even on the defensive side, with the exception of turnovers. They are forcing 3x as many turnovers as Washington. That makes a huge difference, and is a true complement to their offense that is averaging 34 points a game. |
Re: The Bad Coaching, Offense, and Defense Post-Game Thread
Can anyone imagine if we drafted Herbert. I can daydream... the entire franchise is going in a totally different direction.

Implying Justin Herbert would stop the defense from giving up back-to-back-to-back 4 td games? F Heinicke is obviously not the long term solution unless he makes some serious progress before the end of the season, but I'm slightly more worried about this absolute sieve of a defense we're putting out there. |
Re: The Bad Coaching, Offense, and Defense Post-Game Thread
Ron "I thought we were better in coverage yesterday" LMAO!!!! WHAT????
Ok, he should never say that after loss where the D surrendered 33 points, a massive blown coverage and a Hail Mary. But. I don't disagree with this statement. That's why I'm specifically mad at Collins and Fuller. I think the rest of the guys, while not being nearly as good as needed nor expected, did a better job than the previous weeks. Also, I'm not sure why Jamin Davis is getting roasted here. He didn't play much and I thought he made a couple of plays. |

Yeah. Seriously. And Herbert is right now. I like Heineke. If we are talking about the Saints game though Herbert wins it even with the hail mary and other long pass. Heineke was bad. |

Just draft a QB in 2022 and take our chances. Keep drafting 1 until you hit. We need a fucking QB.

Re: The Bad Coaching, Offense, and Defense Post-Game Thread
We need a coaching staff that brings out the best of our roster. This staff clearly isn't.
Firing everybody now doesn't do much. But something has to change, quick. Belichick and more recently Vrabel from the Titans showed you can coach around not so great roster and have success. This defense is playing way below what they should be. As much as I think Collins sucks here, he was not that bad for the Giants. As much as I think Fuller sucks right now, he played well for us last time. As much as WJ3 is disappointing right now, he was excellent last year with the Bengals. As much as CY is having a disappointing season so far, he was a beast last year. Something is off in the locker room. Something is off between the defense and their coach(es). I have no issue with the disciplinarian "our way or the highway" approach... But you gotta be ready to actually do it. For now it's "our way or ... could you please have a look at our playbook before next week game?". You wanna be old school disciplinarian ? Bench guys who don't listen, regardless of their draft/salary status. If you're not ready/able to do that, then adapt to your players strength. Right now they look like weak ass moms going "but I swear he's a good kid, give me one more week and I'll swear he'll behave"... After their shitty child drew dicks on the classroom's wall 3 weeks in a row. |
Re: The Bad Coaching, Offense, and Defense Post-Game Thread
It's all about winning.
You can coach all sorts of different ways if you are winning. We never win shit, so for us it seems like all the styles suck. |

Agree. Looking back at Ron's tenure in Carolina, they way underachieved with one of the best QBs in the league. Now he has a bad QB and a below average roster so not surprisingly the results aren't good. Right now I think its 50-50 that Ron makes it to year 4 of his contract. |

Yep look at The Ravens, that Defense is battered and beaten up with unjuries and they still win. The Offense literally has 2 weapons and no run game at all and they still win. F You Ron and Co |

The reverse is also true |
Re: The Bad Coaching, Offense, and Defense Post-Game Thread
What I'm wondering is what state of mind this team will be in after the next four games where they face three of the best quarterbacks ever to wear an NFL jersey? I believe that all four of the teams they will play are significantly better than the WFT and; therefore, it is probable that the WFT will lose all four of these upcoming games.
What sort of pablum could RR try to feed us then? |

Re: The Bad Coaching, Offense, and Defense Post-Game Thread
Winning the division at 7-9 was probably the worst thing that could have happened in terms of expectations for this year and getting a 1st place schedule. It's only year 2 of Rivera rebuilding this thing and we're clearly not a team that was ready to butt heads with the elite teams of the league.

Keim posted this
Well we should have lost to the Giants and the defense sucked against ATL too. Wouldn’t call them tough opponents Ron. Dont tell me the Saints are any fuckin good either. Giants don’t have anywhere near the talent at D end we do and they didn’t shit the bed against him. Chase Young and Sweat were better last year and that includes the bad teams and the good ones. The schedule is nothing but an excuse. The fact of the matter is you are not a very good coach. Your coordinators are not good either. In summary you and your staff is fuckin garbage. |
