The Bears were totally robbed by the refs. I am starting to think that theses zebras are betting on the games.

Yeah that shit was blatant as they come man, the NFL 100% has it's favorites and nobody can convince me I'm wrong.. Steelers have always been one of them

When that ref stuck his butt out to intentionally make contact w/ #59 and then threw that flag that was so awful. Out of all the bad calls that had obvious intent. The league has to fire that guy.

Three really embarrassing calls last night. Poor officiating changes the outcome of another game.

Really?

He had a few good drives with prevent defense.

I think he had a 88 overall QBR.

Guy has been pretty bad all season.

I saw the clip - that was as bad as it gets. The ref does look like he's calling it for the guy going to the wrong sideline but even that is an inexcusable call - if the ref didn't hear any taunting or didn't see his lips moving there is no way that a game-changing penalty should be called in that situation.

Yep, that was as bad as it gets. They need to tone it down on all this taunting BS. I get what they are trying to prevent, but it's been over the top in a lot of situations

Given the subjectivity of taunting, it should be a penalty that results in the player getting fined and that's it. You maybe can have the player sit for a few snaps (similar to hockey), but the team should not be penalized with yardage lost.

Re: Around the NFL week 9

This taunting stuff is simply out of control. Why do we have a point of emphasis every year which basically means get ready for some bullshit calls from the refs game in and game out.

Steelers were in a prevent the whole fourth quarter? I honestly am asking because I fell asleep.

I think Fields can be good too though but they need to get rid of Nagy and get him some weapons. Nagy is awful.

He had 5 Big Time throws, 88 Pass grade.. By far the best he has had all season

Rodgers gets off with a slap on the wrist, of course.

@nytimes
The NFL has fined the Green Bay Packers $300,000 and two of its players, Aaron Rodgers and Allen Lazard, $14,650 each for not following Covid protocols agreed on by the league and players’ union.

Egh. such a lack of consistency all around. Different standards for different teams and players.

Not a haskins supporter in any way shape of form...but the fines are incredibly different.

And at the time...Haskins didnt even go out and say some stupid shit the way that Rodgers has. really some bullshit.

Re: Around the NFL week 9

Very true...thats why this subjective shit is garbage. Just like the taunting penalties. Leaving it up to peoples feelings will never really work out well for someone.
Violating the protocol should be a very structured fine. If you do this, then this is the exact penalty.
Seems like they can penalize and fine whoever they want all types of willy nilly.
Well, I for one, thumb my nose at that.

Peaking too early in a season is a real thing. You need to be playing your best ball November into December.

Somebody did the math, if you make 40k a year it's the equivalent of a $26 fine.

Well that'll surely make me never want to break protocols again.

Meanwhile CeeDee Lamb was fined $20k last week for having his jersey untucked, granted it wasn't his first offense, but still, WTF?

I read some Cowboys players have talked to him about it but CeeDee wants to CeeDee. I think it was Amari Cooper who went to him and said "Do you not like money?"

At this point .. he knows what to do, 99% of the league has no problem understanding it but he makes that baller deliberate decision not to ... NFL is like "fuck you pay me".

I do think having jewelry untaped/unsecure is a recipe for a severed finger at some point.

Makes sense. At 4-5, they are right in the hunt for the 2nd WC.

NFC is kinda weak right now with Seahawks, Vikings, 9ers all surprisingly 3-5.

Should be an interesting finish.
