He's a funny dude and a team guy, OU players LOVED that dude. Is he an Elie QB? No but in the right system he can be solid
He's a much better qb than last year indicated due the shoulder issue. He recently had surgery on the shoulder also. Mayfield to Houston and picks for Watson is sound more possible by the minute.
Dallas is cutting and trading…turning around and then signing some big deals
They have a bunch of cap room, albeit by pushing dollars onto future years but if you look at their current cap position they have 14 players with more than a $2m cap hit, Washington has 21. And the first 7 names on Washington's list are very average players by league standards.

The Falcons have emerged as a sleeper team to acquire Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, league sources tell

and me. The Falcons join the Panthers, Saints and Browns as teams that have met with, or are interested in, trading for Watson. More to come on ESPN.

I think they are pretty equal. I'd rather have Baker. But Wentz is better than what we had in 2021. So we have upgraded the position regardless.

Just read, albeit on PFT, that this may be a ruse by the Falcons to drive up the price for Watson as they don't have the cap space to trade Ryan and then pick up Watsons contract. The two main contenders, Panthers and Saints, are in the same division. Seems a bit far fetched, but funny if true.

Coaches can't coach what Wentz offers. This is why I liked the trade regardless of any purported issues.

Atlanta isn't very close to winning a SB and doubt they could get a lot for Ryan. I like Cleveland as the fav right now if they both sides are willing to do the deal. Just his best situation to walk into for overall team talent and stability.

And I thought the Vikings didn't have much $ to play with. Maybe we don't either now that Wentz is on board. Hicks would have been a good addition.

That's a lot of money for a backup. This might be a move for legitimate competition for D.J.

Why did they offer more to Tyrod than Trubisky?

Taylor is reportedly signing a two-year deal worth $17 million with $8.5 million in guaranteed money. The full structure of the contract is not clear, but it’s more than the base value of the deal that Mitch Trubisky

It’s a 2-year deal worth $11M, source said — $5.5M per year. There are incentives he’d have to hit to bring it to $17M.

LOL, wanna go back and see some of your posts about Dwayne Haskins? TT knows the Offense at 33 he isn't the starter and any that think so are fooling themselves, he is a back up QB. I hope DJ does well I like the kid hopefully the O line will be improved if not we shop next year, like you guys will be.

9 mil for a 53.5 PFF grade, 67 targets only 46 catches, 408 yds 3 tds .... and I dont think he is an aggressive endline blocker.
Another 1st round bust, and most had him as a Kelce type...
1st round TEs havent had a great track record past 10 years or so

Pitts balled out in his rookie season but so many under performers Ebron (10th overall), Hurst (25th), Howard (19), Engram (23), Njoku (29)

Hockenson and Fant are good players but Logan Thomas 2020 season eclipsed them and I dont think have lived up to 1st round pick production. Hockenson and Fant are young and could well be top 5 TEs in a few years.

I wouldnt draft a TE in the top 15, ever.

If you think of the top TE over the last decade, Kittle, Ertz, Kelce, I don't think any were first rounders.

It's hard to understand that deal. He's not a bad receiver, but that's such a massive overpay. Do the Jags have a different cap ceiling than the rest of us?
