Why would a new coach have a long leash with a QB he didn't draft?

Tyrod will be in there at some point. Book it.
Because he knows the shit show the current QB has been put through and becuase the Giants will give these two(HC+GM) the full four years to prove themselves. Ownership wants the merry go round of Coaches and GM's to stop. TT(Giants #6) is nothing but a career back up no doubt better then what we had, yes, Jones gets hurt he will play. This is their "mulligan year", they had no cap and to right that problem you go with what you got and patch the best you can. Giants go from second worst CAP to the top three in space next year.

Just saw a stat on NFLN

Only 1 QB has had 25 + TDs every year since 2015

Guess who?

Ok we’ll see how that goes. TT is already getting some first team snaps. Probably doesn’t mean anything.

I'd rather take the QB that had 25+ TDs every year since 2015, except for 2019 when he had 24 TDs :silly:

Ereck Flowers is still a FA. I imagine he'll gt signed once a G gets injured somewhere.

Some good CB FA .. Aj Bouye, Kevin King ..surprised we havent made a call yet

The team had Sam Cosmi at guard a day or so ago because of injuries, during practice. Don't know why we can't reach out to Flowers. I assume that bridget has been burned?

I like the idea of giving Flowers a call also, especially in light of some of the injuries at oline. We need all the depth possible.

Actually, they look even dumber to me. This is going to be very bad for the Browns' female fan base.

And no QB is worth what the Browns gave up. This deal will blow up in their faces.

It's dumb how people give up on young QBs so quickly. I think Jones has the potential to be a very good QB. I feel the same way about other QBs who haven't had much playing time, like Taylor Heinicke.

Watching the fox game tonight and Olsen says “Matt Ryan is an upgrade for that colts team”

Lmao lazy national media narrative with no substance.

Ryan is old and his arm is weak as fuck now. Good luck

I had stopped watching Hard Knocks the last few years, it was always more of the same and I got bored of it.
But, just watched the first 2 episodes of this season, with the Detroit Lions, I gonna say the combination of Dan Campbell, some of his coaches and players, and a franchise in long awaited rebuild mode, makes it highly entertaining !
Have you guys given it a look ?

It’s been good, I’ll be rooting for the Lions. Still have my doubts on Campbell, but he sure would be a great high school coach, that’s the vibe he gives me.

Yeah my immediate first reaction to the opening segment and its plethora of metaphors was "he's doing too much", but after 2 episodes it feels like he's authentic about it and it connects with players and coaches.
We'll see if he also has the tools to manage a roster, scheme and play call in the NFL, but with what Vrabel has been able to do in Tennessee, I do think this tough and loud former player type of coaching can be efficient in this league.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Jim Irsay would say differently lol. He has gone above and beyond saying Wentz was the issue. It'll be interesting to see who has the better year. Ryan is definitely older now with a ton of starts in the NFL.

skinsfan69 08-23-2022 12:52 PM

Re: Around the league 2022 Camp edition

It was pretty hard to judge Ryan last year cause he was playing for a terrible team w/ no wr's. I still think he is a good QB but he is a statue. He needs a line, a running game and couple of wr's. He has those now. When ATL was really running the ball when Kyle was there Ryan played very well.

I think he can still play well but if things break down around him like last year then he isn't going to carry the team.

Colts to me are a fringe playoff team to early exit playoff team. The AFC is just too loaded for them to make a deep run w/ Ryan or if they had kept Wentz.
