Here’s a list of what the so called experts thought would be impact QB’s:

Justin Fields
Trey Lance
Kenny Pickett
Malik Willis
Matt Corral
Bryce Young
CJ Stroud
Anthony Richardson
Will Levis
Hendon Hooker

I would take Howell over any of these on the list and many starting pros. Howell will prove he was a great impactful pick

Damn, I knew Chase made a great impact. Didn't know he balled the fuck out. Our front 4 is fucking nasty.

They can sign both Young and Sweat (have to find a way). The 49ers are paying lots of $$$ for like 8-9 players, we can do it.

Not sure what the fuss was about over Chase. For his first game back I thought he did pretty damn good.

First half Russ looked like the old Russ. 2nd half? Not so much. He's in his 30's now and his play has fallen off some. But he can still throw a great deep ball. But because of age it's Sam.

Yes. The reason why is because we both have good quarterbacks that don’t get paid like good quarterbacks. When you get a steal at quarterback it is extremely beneficial. If we had their oline and staff we would be just as good. It will happen.

I mean 5 of those guys are rookies and Corrall hasn't played a down, not really fair to put them in there, but who said Corrall would even be an impact QB

Gonna be honest, outside of 2 passes (deep touchdown and first half blown coverage) Russ looked bad, the hail mary helped inflate his stats but he didnt look good yesterday

All the so called NFL experts that wanted Washington to draft Corral or Willis (who is currently on NE non football injury. My point you have lots of 1st round high picks. Howell will be better than all QB’s picked ahead of him as better than Howell.

Some of those guys are just getting started. They're rookies. Not really fair to judge them now. Fields, Lance, Willis and Corral. No way. Never got the hype on Willis. I was watching Fields on the QB school. His issues seem that he doesn't see the field very well. He needs the wr to be wide open in order to throw it. Zero anticipation. Tua on the other hand, at least in week one, was hands down the best QB. Constantly throwing guys open against the Chargers. Threw the ball well before guys came out of their breaks. Really high level QB play from Tua.

Sam is literally a rookie and has the traits, I gurantee you he’ll be the best from that list. Bryce young is great but will get hurt, others might be athletic, but can they play a full QB position?

Great comeback win, loved it ! Including the drama, in the end football is entertainment, and that was entertaining.

I have to eat crow: Saadhiq Charles had an excellent game ! Giving him retrospective benefit of the doubt on last week's blunder with Stromberg and trip by Robinson.

Daron Payne is a monster.

People need to chill with Chase Young. Everybody. Haters and lovers. The guy had a decent game coming off injury. Was he as impressive as 94 93 and 90 ? I don't think so. Was his first sack given to him by Allen ? Yes, still good effort though. Did he showboat way too much after that play, and was checking everybody from the HC to the water boy like he single handedly won the game over the top? Yes. Were the 2 penalties stupid and badly timed ? Absolutely.
Was it still a good performance? Yes. Should we all wish he keeps up the good work and stays off injury ? Yes. Is he back to his DROY level? Not yet. Do we have a very good Dline, including him? Yes.

Why is it so complicated to a have a balanced take on a player ?
Wait, we had no business winning this game?
Did we have any business going down 21-3 to a crap team? We don’t have Taylor or Carson. No need to even mention them. We have a competent quarterback now. Yes it is absolutely bat shit fantastic that we came back. AND YES it is absolutely bat shit terrible that we got punched in the mouth in the first place! It happened. Lol. Im gonna say it for the last time and than for my own sanity bow out. COMING OUT FLAT AGAINST BAD TEAMS (two weeks in a row) DOES NOT BODE WELL WHEN YOU PLAY THE EAGLES OR BILLS OR COWBOYS OR ANY OF THE GOOD TEAMS IN THE LEAGUE. Jesus Christ. It isn’t negative. It is God damn concerning and we better fucking fix it before next week! And no I don’t hope we get killed so I can say i told you we suck. Lol. I want to win every game! Hence my concern with looking like shit against the Cardinals or Broncos. It is just what it is. Nothing more. Nothing less. We need to fix shit before next week because we are not coming back down 21-3 against real teams!!!!!!!!
Punch, my post was not directed at you lol. I agree we can't come out flat against the Eagles/Cowboys/etc (hate to say it but they are peaking right now).

Oh I know but i was part of the direction. Was / is definitely wary even though we are 2-0.

Cowboys definitively peaking. Eagles could easily be 0-2.

I think that list there were plenty of experts also calling them a reach especially Fields, Lance, Pickett. I agree with you on taking Howell over all of them though. I like what the kid has shown. IMO we have to get running game going because I don't think him throwing 40 times a game is the recipe we want, but I really don't know shit.

Stroud actually looks solid so far, BY has no help at all. Richardson is CAM 2.0

LANCE IS A BUST

Pickett Sucks

Fields is prob a bust too.

Howell was so worth that 5th RD Pick!!!

Confidence, above all else. He trusts he'll have the time, the open man, and the ability to get the ball there. It's that confidence that makes him hold onto the ball sometimes (not fear/confusion), and he needs his internal clock to override that. But thats coachable. I like what I've seen so far.
