Re: Game Day #7: not quite the scabs game

Was out today so didn't see the game. Blowout loss wasn't surprising. Jayden hurt again?

Let's face it, this season is over. Last year was fluke. Honestly, the only game I think we can win is the Dolphins game. My 3-7 prediction before the bye seems realistic; especially if Jayden misses more games. The way Denver battle back today; trust them to probably beat us. That closing 4 game stretch in the division; we could go 1-3 or even 0-4.

Wouldn't be shocking if we finish anywhere from 4-13 to 6-11. Just play youth, they need to get experience and we need to find out if any of them are worth bringing back.

This team is 2-3 years away. Trade anyone that we can among the grandpas we have.
The FO sat on their hands too much at WR and RB this offseason.

The defense, the scheme and secondary giving up these explosive plays?

Fire the secondary coach at least this week
They got Deebo, drafted McCaffrey, extended Terry. They did fine at the WR spot, it just sucks that 2 of those are injured.

You don't pour all your resources into WR. WTF are you fools thinking? They need to spend resources into our defense, which still is the worst part of this team.

I’ve been sitting on this statement since last year but I’ve wanted to wait and see how everything played out but it’s time for this to be addressed, Adam Peters had Cooper DeJean available at pick #40 and traded it to Philly for what became Mikey Sainristil and Ben Sinnott. Why have we not killed him for that??????????????????? #RaiseHail

It took an ass kicking to see it, or admit it, but AP may not be some great football mind. Jayden had such an unbelievable rookie year that we just crowned the guy GM of the century but he has made several questionable decisions. You can substitute the words Quinn, and HC for AP, and GM.
Jayden can’t repeat that year if he can’t run due to design, or injury, or whatever. If we are waiting on JD to be Superman without his legs we will be waiting a loooong time.
I will always appreciate 2024 but it was a smoke show. Damn.

This team just looks old and slow, plus that's two weeks in a row where they've been beat in the trenches. This is all Peters as he decided to trade for and sign a lot of old guys. He got a quick return last year, but it's obviously not sustainable.

Another AP move that smells funny.

Meanwhile, the 49ers are up 10-3 on ATL at the half and they are the most injured team in the universe. Shanahan and his staff have done a pretty amazing job coaching up the backups.

The only concern with JD5 should be his health i am not sure he can stay health in the nfl

the defense is so bad this year because they are out there so long and well they are terrible but so many three and outs by the O is really exposing the D

the expectations were set so high last year we werre never going to repeat them, not with this roster

my biggest concern is just can JD5 stay healthy in the nfl, all 3 of his injuries, the ribs, knee and now hamstring were off not of massive hits they were all pretty routine tackles

i serioulsy just think this franchise is doomed

We have a zero percent chance of beating KC, Seattle, or Detroit either way so it doesn’t matter.

There's a good chance we finish dead last, behind the Giants. Even though the Giants didn't win today; Jackson Dart seems to be the real deal. They have their qb. He might even save Daboll's job or give the new qb one less thing to worry about it.

We are 2-3 years away. Just focus soley on youth. No more players over 30. Every free needs to be under 30. We only have 5 picks next year I think. We need to get more and AP better be sign tons of rookie free agents.

Everything went right for us last year for the most part but this year, it's the opposite. We need young players and speedy players.

Re: Game Day #7: not quite the scabs game

Last year was masked by success and JD5... but i feel like im just watching EB offense again with a little more run plays.

Our o line is being set up to fail to me, you can't spend the all game, every game, in the fuckin shotgun.. sick of it. Sick of being out schemed and out coached almost every single game. We are slow, we have a weaker than most pass rush, we are inconsistent tacklers... this list is too long to even keep going but it all starts at the top. Zero reason to drag out terry situation and pay him anyway. Maybe he's not hurt if he has an off-season. Its a plus if we have time to throw the ball, of course. Just a lot of miscalculation and I fear coaching is as big a part as is the players, playing the positions and schemes they are being deployed to.

I was an 8-9 win guy at the beginning of the year... now i hope we just compete to even reach that point.

A lot of adjustments needed across the board. I cannot believe KK hasn't been sat down and talked to as well as whitt.... I just can't.

Whatever yall, today really sucked. My thoughts on jayden remain, he will be fine but the rest of the team around him, MOSTLY COACHING.... really needs to be improved.

Enough already with crapping on 2024 because of what’s going on right now.

Two things can be true, last year was a great ride. This year not so much so far. The two aren’t related.

Still a lot of football left.

So many issues w/ this team. Injuries are not an excuse because everyone has them. Kyle is winning games w/ Mac Jones.

No running game, no pass rush, no passing game, no play action passing game, can't stop the run and can't cover. Kliff sucks right now. I'm beginning to really dislike his 100% shotgun, college offense. Take that shit back to Texas Tech.

What really bothers the crap out of me is Manny Forbes, who they could not wait to get rid of, is playing for the Rams. Not only is he playing but he is a starter on a team that is obviously better. How does that happen? That baffles me.

I'm not going to kill him for that move. I'm starting to think these guys can not develop players. Sure AP has done some dumb shit like all GM's do, but I take that move every time.

You have to give Sinnott a chance to actually play.

Nah, we could have brought OZ back for peanuts. He was big last year.

Chosen, Moore, ?…not enough solid depth.

Luke and Lane, great special team contributions, but not consistent enough yet as every down players.

I like Deebo…the knock was health. Noah Brown we know can’t stay on the field. This is on the front office.

The RB room is more obvious. Completely inexcusable. Ekler off year of not being able to stay on the field…and they knew they didn’t want BRob after the season ended. Your two top RBs in yards and they sat there in the offense.

Agree with Luke and Lane. In Luke’s big games he was wide open in broken coverage. I need to see the same game when he is open in NFL standards, a half step on the CB instead of no defender in 4 yards

Yesterday JD5 has

Robby Chosen off the streets
Old as Z Ertz who dropped 2 passes
6th round Special teamer J Lane who is trying to become a solid WR3
LMAC who is a WR2 at best and thats a stretch..

There is no QB in the NFL that would win with that group, Mahomes even looked like shit until Worthy got back.

BTW, am I imagining things or has Ertz dropped about 5-6 passes so far this year? He obviously has some very good catches too, but he’s far from sure handed at this point.

Lots of football left as Matty points out, but without some real changes (including improved health), I’m not sure any of that football will be all that enjoyable for us.

Really bummed today.

PLAY BEN FUCKING SINNOTT IN THE PASSING GAME!!!!!!!!! ERTZ IS BBQ CHICKEN!!!!!

He had a helluva career but he's running in mud and now he is getting scared to take hits.

Draft a TE in the 2nd round due to his athleticism, and are using him like a poor man's John Bates. We already have John Bates. Get him some touches.

This coaching staff is failing this team. But we also have more holes than swiss cheese on this roster. The 2024 magic covered it up, but it was still there the whole time. So frustrating to go from 12-5 to looking like a 7-10 type team.

Our run-game has as much variety as our O-Line has push: Absolutely zero

It's like lining up under Center is a crime to this team.

Counter argument here. The coaching staff is competent enough to know what they have in the players. Perhaps Sinnott is not capable of being relied on in the passing game. Gets confused on routes etc. Maybe he is just a bust of a 2nd rounder?

Looks poorly on Quinn/Kliff or poorly on Adam Peters. Either way, basically looking like a wasted 2nd round pick. Classic Redskins move.

I don't know how much of a final say the coaches have in the draft process, I know they do have input. I know it is a small sample size but my impression thus far of Peters is in trades and draft he is willing to take higher risks for a potential reward return but in FA he is far more likely to bargain hunt. Personally I would like us to start following the New England/KC/Philly model of accruing more draft capital than trading it.

Definitely agree with this this year. I hope we trade down in the 1st, no matter where the selection lands. We have a QB, we need more picks for other positions.
