I probably should rephrase what I said. Fox broadcasts her sound bites then makes negative comments. Liberal sites broadcasts her spewing like it is something worth listening to. |

I go to sites like MSN for weather and my e-mail and AOC seems to make daily headlines there. Why has the left made her a hero? I don't listen to Trump either, can't stand him. I have pretty much tried to ignore the last two presidents. The divisiveness seems to just get worse, Obama was terrible with his bad mouthing Republicans 24-7, but Trump has taken it to a new level. |

Why does the right react to everything she says? Seems like they're the ones propping her up. |
Re: When is Enough ,Enough?
No doubt she has been propped up from day 1 from the mainstream media because she fits the intersectional mold with the identity political spectrum...young, female and minority. Being a socialist is secondary but obviously most important.
All you need to do is just the facts...magazine covers, media airtime, media mentions, etc. the mainstream media has propped her clearly. Style over substance always. Green deal and it’s rollout was sloppy as well as humorous to the point it’s become a punchline. I wrote more coherent papers in college. World end in 12 years y’all. She gave us the gift of “morally right is more important than factually correct.” Simply think of that for a couple minutes. |

No because morality basis isn’t included in her response. Aoc is claiming the means behind to her ends doesn’t need to be based on facts because of some inherently subjective moral definition that in her mind includes somethings like the world ending in 12 years and so on. Also, AOC use of victimhood and oppression is completely false. She is a 29 year old bartender who was voted into congress....folks, in what other country? That’s exactly why this country is by far...not close, ever....the greatest in the world. |

What Buffalo responded to was that all Republicans hate brown people and women. Thats not having a conversation about race, its about a blanket stereotype of approximately half the country, while implying that Democrats are so compassionate and are saviors for anyone that isn't a white male. What have Democrats done to lift poor people out of poverty? Not a fucking thing. Because we still have way too many people living in poverty in the same cities Democrats have been claiming to help for the last 60/70 years, when Democrats constantly voted against civil rights until racist as fuck Lyndon Johnson decided it was easier to just pretend that Democrats were now Republicans and now magically actual Republicans were the racist party. You don't want to have a real conversation about race or how to help people that are living in poverty, regardless of race. You want to pat yourself on the back. |

I am not claiming racism doesn't exist in this country, but it sure isn't running as rampant as Democrats claim. I have been around a lot of people and am in my late 50's. I can honestly say I have witnessed obvious racism once. On the other hand back decades ago when I worked in a couple large manufacturing companies I constantly heard people complain they weren't getting raises or promotions because management discriminated because they didn't like minorities. I could not believe these people would say that, especially since we had managers from every race you could think of. It was a case of them having an over inflated opinion of themselves. |
Re: When is Enough ,Enough?
How about Jessie Smollet? We all know he got a pass because of the color of his skin and being gay. If a heterosexual white male staged being attacked by a group of black guys yelling "Screw Whitey" that guy would had the book thrown at him. It seems there are lots of claims of racists acts that prove to be false, yet the people making the false claims go unpunished.

I know racism exist but I find it mind boggling that people don't think it's "rampant".Listen to trump he racist every day! The county I live in is without splitting hairs 1/3 black 2/3 white. It seems we all get along just fine and treat each other with respect. Maybe that is just us country folks. I should just say in Beaverdam and the surrounding areas I see us white folks getting along well with our black neighbors, so maybe out in the country is the place to be. |

No, he got a pass because he had connections and he used that. I say this as someone who leans liberal, fuck that DA. She "recused" herself at the start but never actually followed through on it like is normally done. I don't blame all the cops that came out and said they don't trust her because of what she did. I don’t think that is accurate either. Seems like your wrapped up into identity politics...where certain people can’t criticize others without being called a racist, sexist, homophobe, etc. The four you mention, I could list actual policies and positions I disagree with....and maybe a couple I agree with. I think to paint a broad stroke to list conservatives and libertarians as simply racists is weak and a proven false narrative. I will say this, Hillary is probably the most attack/criticized Democratic of my lifetime but she’s been at the forefront of the Party since the early nineties. |

Well congratu-fucking-lations assholes, while we all sit here and fight with our own countrymen our enemies worldwide toast how stupid we are.[/quote] This has gotten much worse and it sucks. Lets explore why: 1. The parties are being controlled by the extreme elements on both sides. You have Trump's Republican party where him and his followers will openly say outrageous things, spout lies, embrace combative tone, etc. You have AOC, the two Muslim congress women, and there progressive followers saying outrageous things, spout lie, embrace combative tone, etc. Essentially the samething...Both of these sides our more fringe within their parties and both have loud voices...social media following leads to more media presence. The press will give these fringe out layers of each more attention because it drives a more emotional response from viewers, listeners, etc. So if your crazy acting, you get more air time. 2. Within both bubbles...it has become less tolerant to agree with the other side because of the backlash from the loudest, most extreme elements within the bubble. Trump will call out and threaten his own party if they don't support him...social media progressive activist will call out, threaten if your not "woke" enough, not green enough, etc. Hence Joe Biden's apology tour before his announcement. So instead of trying to come to an agreement or using reason or logic to get things done...anyone who steps towards the center is routinely criticized to the point of harassment from their own political side. 3. The rise of identity politics, championed by Obama in his second term running/Presidency and continued with Trump campaign/Presidency. Lets organize society by groups now...this is a failure we are seeing across the country. We should want to come together as one nation... 4. Civility and the golden rule...fuck that. Anger only. Its okay now to approach someone in a restaurant and harass them if you don't share the same view. Tell them to go back to their country if they have an accent or because someone wears a MAGA hat assault them. This is not how you come to an agreement. |

You are deflecting again. I don't grade presidents till their term is up and I did state Trump will pass Obama for worst president of my lifetime. I will not give Trump my worst president award until his term is up. Obama was very divisive. I don't know what to call Trump in that regard. Trump is a loose cannon constantly spewing garbage. He seems to need to comment on everything, even on subjects he has zero knowledge of and hasn't been briefed on. His comment on the Kentucky derby DQ takes the cake. |
Re: When is Enough ,Enough?
The democrats who are driven insane by Trump have no one to blame but themselves. I know life long democrats who voted for Clinton but considered her unlikable and untrustworthy. Trump won because of who he ran against. He would not have beat Bernie. Being a Republican since I was 7 and given a choice between Bernie and Trump I think I would have voted for Bernie. Even though I disagree with a lot of his views he projects as being a very honest person, that is rare for a politician in this country in this day and age. I figure congress would keep him in check.
On election eve I actually watched a couple hour long PBS special on the candidates trying to pick one, as I never like to cast a wasted vote. I could not stand Trump for the longest time as I saw him as someone who always gamed the system. He was a billionaire who filed bankruptcy on a couple under performing companies he owned. What he did was legal, but if he had morals he could have easily paid off all the debts before shutting the companies down. Against him was Hillary Clinton who always wanted political power at any cost. I thought her playing "Stand by your man" when Bill was getting serviced by Monica in the White House was about as pathetic as it gets. She constantly spread dirt on any women who claimed they were sexually harassed by Bill. Utterly pathetic! This was all for her political future. Back to the PBS special. I watched it with a preconceived very low opinion of Trump and Hillary. Amazingly when it was over, I even thought less of them. |
