Nice to see some of the yonger guys playing. But to be honest, when you stack them up against the talent in our division they simply don't match up. Love the return game w/ Banks, he's a keeper for teams. Torain is good. Armstrong is a nice 3rd wr but he isn't as good as Philly's wr's, or anyone on Dallas or the Giants wr's. This team is full of complementary type players.
I disagree with that completely. He has been our only true deep threat player this year with his great speed. And you can't compare him to the WR's in the rest of the division because they all have much better offenses than us. Considering what he has done this year with our offense, that is impressive to me. I think he will be a starter for this team for years to come.
I like our young WR corps- Austin, Armstrong and Banks. I think Armstrong and Austin will get better next year. At the moment, I compare Armstrong to a poor man's Gary Clark with lots of future potential. Austin could be our Ricky Sanders, we just need a Monk.
One thing thats been overlooked this year is the coaching of McCardell. Armstrong and Austin are developing nicely. Not to mention two 800 yard guys and a 1,000 receiver. Davis also had a nice year as a number two Tight End with 300 yards.

I was very impressed with Austin's route running in preseason, and these past two games. He has pleasantly surprised me. I think he will be a more complete player than Armstrong.

But three 800 yard receivers, first time since 89. Not bad

Finally over........ now, after all the up roar over Shanny, this is how I feel, Shanny, made the team about him, I like him, but our off season was spent of Haynesworth, then him and his son went after D.McNabb, then the defense went from top 5 to last in the league......... we digressed big time, next year, I wouldnt have large expectations, until, we make it about the whole organization.......... we will continue to spiral down.

I don't see how anyone can get on the Austin bandwagon yet, as he didn't play at all hardly. When the coaches still keep some older has been Wrs around, there is a reason for that. After they let Galloway go, Austin should have been featured some, but he wasn't. Don't be too shocked if we do go after a WR(s) in the draft that he will be cut by the time the 2011 roster hits 53.

Yeah, I still think both could be very nice number 3s. What impressed me was Santana fitting nicely into Kyle scheme. Really nice season, needs to get an extention and put back in the slot. Armstrong impressed me as a legit deep threat. He was very consistent long range.

I still like to see us sign a number 1 guy or maybe draft a WR...love AJ Green with our first pick.

Out of our guys we dont have a "redzone" reciever...could Kelly emerge as that guy? He could be wildcard.

Thing is if Shanny is indeed making it all about him and Kyle, you won't get a winner in DC anytime too soon. Then the situation would mirror that of the Univ of Michigan/ Rich Rodriguez drama up here. The alumni can't stand him, and many fans were actually rooting for OSU an Miss St, just to make sure he goes. It was all about him and trying to prove his system could work in the Big Ten. All hubris. He should have known that the Big Ten wasn't a finesse league, and running a 3-3-5 defense was absolutely moronic in a run oriented conference. To me I think there are a few sportswriters that have it right and this is mostly about Kyle using the Skins to become the youngest HC in NFL history. We move the ball better than under Zorn, but still can't score. We give up tons of yardage, and at critical junctures in many games we can't make the last stop that can mean a chance at victory or a sure defeat.

Despite questions about him giving up too soon on the run in close games and 3rd down conversion percentages, one thing is clear. Kyle's offense CAN work for the Redskins. For the first time in YEARS I'm comfortable with the scheme and playcaller. We obviously need a QB, a big WR and to shore up the interior of our OL but I like the direction we are moving towards.
The sad thing is, I can point to one or two key plays EACH game that resulted in a win or a loss. We didn't blow anyone out (been a while since we've done that) and we didn't get dominated with the exception of the Giants and Eagles games this year.
I feel like we dominated the Raiders last year, that was one of those complete games where we had a comfortable lead at the end of the game.

Kyle would have to be a head coach by July for that to happen

Chico, Kelly is definitely the wild card

The WRs are not bad at all. Austin deserves more playing time. What's going to happen to Kelly if he comes back?

Why not make Davis a WR and let Paulsen compliment Cooly.
