Why would Bengals do that? You really miss the fact that Burrow is a southern Ohio boy. Adding him to their team will bring thousands southern Ohio football fans back to following the Bengals. Chase would not add to the Bengals fan draw at all.

What if Joe doesn't wanna be there? Also, a Buckeye would have no draw in Ohio? Not that I think it will happen, or even want it to, but it's a boring sports time right now.

You don't understand Ohio. There is a huge cultural gap between Cincinnati and Columbus.
the vast majority of Columbus pro football fans look to Cleveland or Pittsburgh, not Cincinnati. In Columbus, Cincinnati is percieved to be part of Kentucky.

Yeah but Burrow is from Athens ... which is closer to West Virginia, than either Cincy or Columbus.

They will have no trouble becoming Bengals fans. By contrast, people from Columbus will not become Bengals fans if Young was drafted by the Bengals. If Columbus fans heard Chase was going to Cincy the vast majority of them would hold a funeral for him.

Ahhh ... I gotcha. I was wondering your angle. Thinking that it could have been Burrow NOT wanting to play in Cincy. By all accounts I've seen, he's fine with it.

Absolutely!! I'm watching every pick of this draft. My football knowledge is gonna be real strong by April 25th. I'm gonna know who every single new player is in the NFL this year (that's been picked).

yea its pretty annoying honestly. But they have to do anything they can to continure to make every penny they can off the draft.
