While Republicans and Trump himself frequently criticized former President Barack Obama for his golf outings, Trump has spent more than twice as many days on the links, to date, as Obama did at the same point in his first term. And because Trump has insisted on dozens of trips to New Jersey and Florida to play at his resorts there, taxpayers are spending more than three times as much as they did for golf by the same point in Obama’s term.
This is a great article about Avenatti and others in this bullshit political environment:

“Political Media Is a Hucksters’ Paradise”

Avenatti had 254 cable appearances last year, including 147 on MSNBC and CNN alone in a 10-week period. Cable news bookers fell so madly in love they nearly propelled him into the presidential race, during a time when, among other things, he was allegedly bilking $1.6 million from a paraplegic.

Ana Navarro compared him to the “Holy Spirit” on The View, while Joy Behar said “being a lawyer is minimal compared to what he’s doing.” MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle said, ”The Democrats could learn something from you.” Brian Stelter, who later excused his admiration on the grounds Avenatti showed “Trump-like mastery” of media, said Avenatti should be taken “seriously as a contender.” In another forum he was called the “savior of the Republic.”

Your hypocrisy is pure comedy. For the record I can't stand Trump and wrote in Will Seemore. Whether Michele Obama was working or not doing her globe trotting she took a lot of friends and family along. I give up arguing with you, but I will give you a liberal hypocrite award. But that’s the irony, the thing I’m told people hate so much about our president (trump past behavior, asshole demeanor, etc) was found in Avenatti AND then propped up by the left and embraced.

But Avenatti turns out to be the one left wants trump be more than anything, an indicted, accused felon. What the left needs to realize, trump has been the most investigated man for the last 3 years and nothing has been found. The narrative the left and media has pushed has been lies.

The fact that you think nothing has been found is comical , interesting you are comparing a 3rd rate lawyer to the president of the United States and then blame the "left " for telling lies? My only issue with this is Mueller punted on the obstructing justice part. He laid out all the evidence and decided he would leave the conclusion to Barr, who got the job by writing a 18 page memo on how the President has practically unlimited powers and the Mueller report isn't legit.

Barr didn't even read the report before he wrote that 4 page summary exonerating Trump.(Source)

It wasn’t just left to Barr, but with Rosenstein’s backing in coordination with the evidence...Barr and Mueller did speak in the review of investigation as well when it was over. Mueller could have suggested for a prosecution but from the investigation there was clearly too much to exonerate versus obstruction. While the some of the behavior of President was not cool, it was not criminal. To say there is crime, that’s simply false.

Also, the president did cooperate with the investigation...including Don McGahn to testify.

The president could've interviewed with the special counsel. If you have nothing to hide, why not?

I agree Rosenstein also signed off on that, but we don't know his motivations. It seems he just wanted to get out with his good name intact.

And when Mueller inevitably testifies to Congress I have no doubts he's going to say he would've indicted Trump if Trump weren't President. He felt they had enough evidence to charge Trump but since DOJ policy is a sitting President can't be charged that's where he left it at. Why else would he send a letter to Barr saying he disagrees with Barr's conclusions? So we doing hypotheticals or we gonna deal with the facts?

The report is available to everyone and the fact is, not enough evidence for collusion or obstruction. The problem is there is no underlying crime...there is no collusion with Russia period...that would be the crime, if there was one. And motive for obstruction has to have a corrupt intent. Firing Comey was within his right and mueller finished his investigation...he wasn’t fired. No one was directed to lie to the team or under oath.

If the other investigations can use mueller report (the roadmap) to indict or impeach, so be it. But the mueller investigation itself did not lead to criminal charges because it can’t support it. Barr isn’t lying, isn’t covering up, and trump isn’t some criminal mastermind pulling all the strings perfectly to skate charges.

Mueller wasn't fired because McGahn refused to go through with it. He resigned rather than do that (which give Trump all the credit for, he surrounded himself with people smart enough to know firing the special counsel would've made it Watergate 2.0 all over again).

I agree Trump is not some criminal mastermind who collaborated with Russia. He's smart enough to turn the other cheek and literally let Putin do his thing without explicitly endorsing it.

Why else does he verbally suck off Putin every opportunity and take closed meetings with no transcribers when every President of recent memory has always done so?

Also it seems pretty clear that just because Trump didn't explicitly say "Cohen you need to lie to Congress" that doesn't mean the intent wasn't there.

Just curious how you think mafia convictions happen when they speak in code all the time? (I know, I know, Trump =/= mafia)

Mueller didn’t like how it was presented? Who cares? Mueller knew before Barr presented to the president lawyers and country there were no charges being filed for either collusion and obstruction. We act like mueller, Barr and hot rod didn’t speak about the investigation and it’s conclusions. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/hundreds-former-prosecutors-say-trump-would-have-been-indicted-if-n1002436

President Donald Trump would have been indicted for obstruction of justice in special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation if he did not hold the nation's highest office, nearly 700 former federal prosecutors argued in an open letter published on Medium on Monday.

The ex-prosecutors — who have served under both Republican and Democratic administrations dating back to President Dwight D. Eisenhower — said Attorney General William Barr's decision not to charge Trump with obstruction "runs counter to logic and our experience."

The president committed crimes.

There is no way around it. Attorney General William Barr’s efforts to clear President Donald Trump, both in his original letter and in his press conference the morning of the report’s release, are wholly unconvincing when you actually spend time with the document itself.

Mueller does not accuse the president of crimes. He doesn’t have to. But the facts he recounts describe criminal behavior. They describe criminal behavior even if we allow the president’s—and the attorney general’s—argument that facially valid exercises of presidential authority cannot be obstructions of justice. They do this because they describe obstructive activity that does not involve facially valid exercises of presidential power at all.

Consider only two examples. The first is the particularly ugly section concerning Trump’s efforts to get then–Attorney General Jeff Sessions to “unrecuse.”

First article means zilch. From afar, I’m sure it looks easy, whomever they are.

And a Brookings institute liberal hack, friends with Comey. If these so called crimes are so obvious and non complex in nature...then impeach him. What’s everyone waiting for?

There is no underlying collusion crime to obstruct especially from a president who turned over a million documents, made everyone available and didn’t invoke executive privilege during the investigation.

G1, if more items come up that can prove he committed a crime, then prosecute him...but I don't think there is enough there. Plus, like ive said...if the crimes are so obvious, then impeachment wouldn't be a problem.

Question to you, Mooby, and others....how do you like being lied too constantly for 2 straight years by the media and others like Adam Schiff who claim Trump colluded with Russia? Why do you continue to trust sources who lied to you daily? No issues or does it register at all? Serious question.
The literal, entire argument, that 700 Republican and Democrat prosecutors (aka people smarter than you or I when it comes to knowing the legal system) was:

"If he wasn't President, he would've been charged with obstruction."

Literally.

Barr has even said it is sitting DOJ policy that a President cannot be indicted.

Why are we even arguing this?

I agree, what are we arguing over...actually many have wondered wtf are we talking about for 2 years? It’s been a lie of collusion from the beginning...that’s why we are now investing the origin of the nothing burger.

You're absolutely right Chico. It was a conspiracy, an attempted takedown of Trump because people simply don't like him. And it failed because Trump is too good to get got.

Which is why I'd really enjoy it if you could peruse this op-ed from James Comey and single out the specific statements where he's lying about the FBI's intent to investigate.

Pure comedy that Hillary backers constantly pointing out all of Trumps lies and that he has committed criminal acts and should be put in prison. Politics in this country seem to bring out biases and hypocrisy of epic proportions. Both Trump and Hillary have huge egos and crave power above everything else and don't care what they have to do to attain it. As human beings they basically have no morals and are despicable people. Hillary is just a more polished piece of trash, I would hate to see what she is like behind closed doors. At least Trump has no filter so what you see is what you get. I will probably be voting for Will Seemore again in 2020.
