I think that Gore had plenty of other opportunities before Florida to win, but he ran an awful campaign (like Rudy G. this year) costing him a few easy states here and there.

Also, the Democrats were so gung-ho that they were ripped off and would easily win in 2004, but that was far from what happened.

In fact, I believe that a major reason for them losing in 2004 was that they seemed to run on a "we wuz robbed" platform and it turned plenty of people off.

I would feel much more comfortable with Obama if he had undergone the sort of scrutiny that Palin has.

Instead, he gets a pass. No gotcha interviews for him. No William Ayres or Saul Alinsky questions.

And Charlie Gibson was masterful in his use of the half-glasses. It was Schumeresque.

The Liberals and the press may strike this women down for now, but she will become more powerful than they could ever imagine. The difference between Conservatives and Liberals is that Conservatives understand that November is just the beginning.
