Me personally? I think they don't really have an opinion on McCoy yet

Just speculating on the plausibility/logic behind some of the info out there.

Holmgren is quoted to have said that he wants to bring in competition.
It just doesn't seem logical to me to draft high or give up high draft picks for competition, that would be for replacement.

I took that as bringing in veteran competition but, I guess should start thinking of a worse case scenario instead of hoping for the best.

Well I know they're referencing us because I found the link to that forum in the link backs section at the bottom of this thread. But yeah that's horrible. One random guy comes in here and says he thinks McCoy and Shipley are coming here and then it's a legit rumor? Only in the offseason.

Rex was often a playmaker for the opposition, as well. He has a major problem with turnovers and, after 9 years in the league, it doesn't look like he can correct that problem.

Regardless, I think it is now clear to most observers that an NFL team needs to have a QB who is well above average in order to be a contender. That's not Rex.

Nevertheless, I would support signing him as a backup. I think he's more than adequate in that role.

It's not like Kyle gave Rex a ringing endorsement, he said they need to upgrade the position. Which doesn't really bode well for Rex coming back again to start.

It would be funny if Rex was on a different team but because he was i find that comment a little disconcerting.
Rex Grossman is not a playmaker in anyway shape or form.

That's good because reading that rumor was a punch in the gut. I can live with St Louis keeping him but if they make him available and the Skins don't get it done I am gonna lose it.
