Wow! That was appallingly terrible. I can't believe I missed watching that. I may have to find it after the game and watch it unedited. Obama did a great job not making a point or defending himself. He stammers very well though.
I would feel much more comfortable with Obama if he had undergone the sort of scrutiny that Palin has.

Instead, he gets a pass. No gotcha interviews for him. No William Ayres or Saul Alinsky questions.

And Charlie Gibson was masterful in his use of the half-glasses. It was Schumeresque.

The Liberals and the press may strike this women down for now, but she will become more powerful than they could ever imagine. The difference between Conservatives and Liberals is that Conservatives understand that November is just the beginning. We will never allow all that we have built to be undone by Obama and his radical allies. Long after the Leftists have gone back to watching HBO and trying to determinewhat their next piercing should be, we will be there standing up for the truth. In the meantime it's fun to watch them sweat out an election they thought they had sewn up, and destroy a decent woman in the processs if that's what it takes. Shame on the Left and their friends in the media.
Obama went on the O'Reilly factor for an interview in which he was harangued and interrupted. Did you miss this? And you sound like you are talking about Obi Wan Kinobe by the way.
Sorry but the corruption of that election is still sickening and I don't think it should be forgotten anytime soon.
I agree and those counting of votes by hanging chads was just one way Gore looked to win and trying to discount the military over seas votes. Yes we will not forget. I'll say it now. If Obama wins its a valid election but if McCain wins we will here about all these issues and the stealing of the election. We just witnessed this in the last election but after the Dems took control of congress all of it faded away over night.
Yeah, but...

That's why I don't see it. The reasons that would support your theory are far-fetched. Possible for sure, given the rarity of info surrounding the decisions we made, but too far-fetched for my blood.
We're applying the same logic.

I think it is more far-fetched (and less likely) to assume we are there in the interest of Iraq, rather than in our own interest.

Anyways, back to the thread at hand...

PALIN SUX, OBAMA RULEZ!!
And this is who could be a heart attack away from being the commander in chief.

(Just to note the above comment is not based on this video alone, just a general comment)
Well if thats the best people can do to discredit her by peicing clips of an interview together then they did a poor job.

Your surrogates aren't suppose to stab you in the neck are they? Listening to the clip makes you wonder if Carly Fiorina should be fired once again.

What a difference one day makes eh? This guys is not really bright is he? Or maybe he lacks foresight? Or maybe he just discovered compassion? Or maybe he tossed principles overboard?

Or maybe he just looked at all of the facts and allowed them to sway his opinion, instead of clinging to an obviously mistaken view.

How absurd...the facts have been right there in front of him and all of us all along. It doesn't take a genius to figure out letting AIG and Lehman Brothers fail at the same time will lead to disaster in the financial. I expect more from the man aspiring to lead this nation, I expect him to have foresight and you should too.

Foresight in general yes, but more acutely in his area(s) of expertise, much more so. But I don't expect the President to necessarily be an economic guru. My gut reaction to hearing about the bail out was "No effing way, not another one." But, after thinking about the ripple effect such a massive failure would have on the economy, you realize that despite your philosophical objections there really isn't another option. I mean, I watch Man Vs Wild all the time. The guy drinks his own urine in order to survive, but that doesn't mean that he can't bitch about the taste it leaves in his mouth.

That said, I understand McCain's initial reaction because I shared it. I would assume that one of his many advisers briefed him and gave him additional perspective therefore he changed his mind. The principles of "small government" do not condone buying up companies in the manner which we have recently seen. Any person that would be all about backing these big corporations with taxpayer money and not at least voice some apprehension would worry me. Again, nothing I'm saying is an attack on Obama, more of a general defense that no one person is going to automatically know the correct course of action. The willingness to listen and then have an informed opinion is of great benefit and one of the primary qualities I look for in a leader.

And regarding Hooskin's comment about "flip flopping," I thought that was the most ridiculous criticism made during the last election and I have not changed that opinion. The term literally gives me a migraine every time I hear/read it. I see nothing wrong with someone becoming more educated on a subject and changing their mind. I have a real hard time with someone so dedicated to dogma that they refuse to see the forest for the trees.
