Please god tell me how can you consistently get turnovers and not score points off them?

God's response: "Jay Gruden/McVay"

I find it odd too that Gruden never seems to do what most coaches do, which is take an end zone shot immediately after a turnover. You see that all the time around the league, but we simply don't do it.

An old man walks into a bar and sits down. He and the fellow next to him start chatting about football, and the subject of the Redskins come up, at which point the younger man starts cursing about Gruden and McVay. The old man looks for a second, smiles, and says Damn it's good to meet you Chico!

Of the three turnovers last night. One we got points on. One was halted on an absolute bullshit call by the refs. Am i mis remembering?
I said plenty of things could have changed last night. But please do not compare a kicker missing a fg to a player taking his team 23 yards in the wrong direction and than coughing up the ball with 2-1/2 minutes left to a missed kick? Yeah djax tied it up but we never should have had to tie it up. We were in a great position to win. We had the ball with 2-1/2 minutes left and should have had decent field position. In a tie game. We should have needed roughly 25-30 yards to kick a fg and could have used up time while they used up timeouts. How is that not being in a great position to win?
The way the defense was playing the whole game, none of this should have happened period. And focusing on the missed Hopkins FG or Jackson's fumble or Special Teams giving the Cowpukes good field position on the last drive, diminishes the fact that the offense had plenty of opportunities to put this game out of reach and even away early on. Hell, a first half TD would have probably done the job.

yup...lotta times you see the "take a shot" play right off the bat because the defense is rushed on the field with little warning. Perfect time to call a play action, trick play, or even a screen. Not us.

I still don't understand why we kept calling a seven step drop pass on 3rd and short when our o-line was being shredded by the blitz.

Gruden is front and center on this loss. He will not change and its infuriating to watch. He cant make adjustment so all the defense has to do is find something that works and stick with it.

Dallas has the second ranked pass d and in yards allowed. They are no joke. Tony Romo does not play D.
Can you imagine if Djax had fielded the punt, and than Cousins snapped the ball on first down and avoiding a rush ran backwards 23 yards trying to keep the play alive? But wait than fumbled the ball on our own 7 yard line? Lmao. You say im harping on djax. I feel he is getting a huge pass.

The ironic thing is that i have been a djax supporter all year. When everyone wanted his ass cut / gone / traded. And for what? A hammy? But last nights BLUNDER OF THE YEAR is excusable?!?

What's with the 8 man fronts? Three tackles....how often do they pass out of that formation? The defense knows that the run is coming. The play calling is so non creative and predictable!

I'm just sick of these last minute situations happening because the team can get its shit together earlier in the game and wasting opportunities given to them by the offense.

I was pissed off about DJax blunder too. But I'm more upset at seeing the 3 takeaways with only 3 points to show for. And I'm more upset at this because:
a) it has happened before, b) the DJax blunder probably won't happen again, and c) the team will very likely again have a similar game again this season.

I can say the same thing about the missed FG by Hopkins.

alot of that had to do with us being down to JReed and no other TE's because Carrier was out. I know injuries aren't an excuse, but at the same time, when 1 position group is hit especially hard it creates its own issues.

How ironic is it to believe that JReed is our only healthy tight end!

Yeah.....indeed....

But when they are in this formation it's a dead giveaway to the defense that they are going to run. They won't even call a play action pass and hit the running back in the flat...or find a T on an out pattern....instead they run right at the defense for a minimal gain.
