This exactly. Snyder murdered the Redskins. And the name Commanders is awful and in in no way links the history of the franchise. We are basically an expansion team now.

It is just like the post above for fans sitting through these 20+ years. The owners have sat through a ton of his indecencies and haven't kicked him out so I doubt they will now. They certainly already know what Congress is only trying to find out.

I think Commanders is boring and an incredibly disappointing choice after 2 years of this supposedly fan engaging process... But ! What gives me hope is the fans' ability to be creative and find cool ways to cheer with names that are not so exciting in themselves. The Saints' Who Dat, the Steelers' terrible towel, the Packers' cheese head, the Seahawks' 12th man, the Eagles' chant, the J-E-T-S ... I'm sure I'm leaving some out.

I mean if we were told today we would be called the Seahawks, we all would go like "the F ? We gonna be named after a freaking sea gull?!" And we wouldn't imagine for one sec that we'd become an　iconicly loud fan base (maybe overblown a bit but still).

Still will be disappointed on 2.2.22, but seeing you guys get creative gave me hope.

We obviously agree Snyder is an ass. Lol. Don’t know a single fan who doesn’t. I wouldn’t go so far as to call us an expansion team. There was no way to link the new name to the old name. This is still our team. It was our team before douchebag bought them. Commanders wouldn’t have been my choice, but it is a link to DC. Im excited to see the new uniforms too. We are still the B and G. I pray to God Snyder one day gets gone while I am still alive, but I have been rooting for this team since 1976 and im not gonna let that tiny little fuck take that away from me. HTTC!

I hate Snyder and all he has done (or not done) to ruin our team.

But to say that he hasn't shown the competence to run an organization is to sell the bastard short. (See what I did there?). His organizations have been successful enough to generate billions in profit, certainly enough to buy an NFL franchise. Too bad it was ours. HTTC
