I agree about Jason Wright but he's good at telling us what he wants us to know.

I'm not saying its about them being honest, I'm saying that based on WFT's past bad behavior and cover-ups its hard to take what they say seriously. Although its not impossible to make WFT look any worse than it already does, they can always go lower.

What if this two years with WFT is the rebranding process?

With regards to keeping WFT, an example of when sometimes the best option is to do nothing.

But Danny don't do nothing. Never has and he never will.

Absolutely. But for me it's just hard to believe that they, yes, [I]even them[/I], don't realize how stupid keeping WFT would make them look.

Ok but do you see them naming it something really dumb getting fan and media backlash, rolling out merchandise new signs etc and then before the season saying nope JK it looks like we will stay with WFT? and having to do new signs etc all over again?

Oh sure this still has the potential to be a disaster, and yes I'm aware they could pick a name that makes us all regret WFT, totally. Heck I think I prefer WFT over Commanders for an example...
They're just in no position to keep the name they announced as temporary after all this time and rebranding communication IMO.

Does ANYONE want decades of commentators deliberately saying "Washington Football Team" instead of just "Washington"? Really? With that still going on, and the 2 year consultation, does anyone actually believe they'll stick with WFT?

I think it is pretty idiotic that commentators cannot just stick to saying Washington though. It is pretty simple. I know that wasn't your question, but it drives me nuts.

Funny thing is a lot of commentators weren't using Redskins for the past few years, just Washington. Now all of a sudden they want to go out of their way to say Football Team? It's just trolling by some of them if you ask me.

Agree. Two years and lots of research and $ to come up with a name as stupid as Wizards is for the basketball team would IMO make them look even more stupid.

I don't see how they can stick with the temporary W logo. That would also say after two years we couldn't come up with something better than we came up with in 2 weeks. IMO, if they cant keep some form of WFT because it was deemed temporary, they cant keep the temporary logo either.

I do think there is zero chance of staying WFT because like MTK mentioned, there was some issues with it being too generic. Like trying to trademark An orange orange. I'd like WFC or some riff on that but they will probably go with a stupid name and a stupid logo in an attempt to not look stupid after this big two year research project.

I wonder how many people outside of diehard WFT fans know or even remember WFT was deemed temporary at the start of this process? At this point I don't think the diehards even care anymore that it was temporary.

Major lives in Delaware - he has anxiety issues being around too many people at the White House and there were two biting incidents. And Champ died a number of months ago.

Commander is a better name for a dog than our WFT I think anyway. Hoping for Wolves or Redwolves. But more just hoping that it isn’t something totally lame.

I view the whole the whole deal as this ..the fans that lived through the REDSKINS glory days are lucky .. The Fans that came on board when Snyder bought the team and has to endure his incompetence as a owner I feel for you .. The WFT is a blip on the radar, There is no more Redskins( I wish when Snyder bought it they would have changed the name .. he did not deserve the name) .. moving on to today we all are waiting for the big announcement of the new Name/logo/brand.. I wish a new OWNER would also be in the works .. but that’s wishful thinking .. I’ve allready filed my REDSKIN memories when a real owner had them in a special place .. the Snyder era is a damn joke ! What does the future hold .. one thing for sure Snyder can’t drag the REDSKINS down anymore .. whatever the new name/look etc is as long as Snyder is involved it won’t be good .. I’m close to checking out on the little man and his massive EGO , He is Damn lucky to have Ron as a coach because Snyder deserves Urban .. they fit like a glove , there is not one person on this forum that can take up for Snyder .. we try and ignore it but truth is a new name and stadium ain’t gonna change this rotten culture .. it remains to be seen how many of us continue to support this mess.. I still think a lot of credit has been given to the "Redwolves/Wolves is absolutely out" and "It's gonna be Commanders" rumors, both based on somebody on Twitter supposedly knowing someone's cousin working somewhere...

I'm pretty sure Redwolves is out because of legal issues with the trademark, not because of a Twitter rumor.
