If I were in the skins front office I would bring him in for 1.5 and cut JW. We would save 500k and not down grade the position. JW is only here for this year anyway, but the team may have the player in mind as well knowing that if they did that it may ruffle some feathers on the defense and not want to risk throwing a wrench in our peacefully locker room.
I just have to believe at this point that Winfield simply does not want to play for the Skins. We have made several efforts to get him and I doubt we lowballed him so the fact that his agent said retiring seems like evidence enough for me to let it go. |

That's pretty much where I ended up. Leave it be for now and if we have an injury bring Chase up off the PS (assuming he makes it there but with his injury history it doesn't scare me). We are in good shape without AW and he hasn't played in our system. |
Re: Around the NFL 2013 Offseason (Episode 99)
Kirk Cousins to the Raiders next year (not this year) could be a high possibility.

But its nothing but a dream because I can't see the Raiders being That dumb trading away the first overall pick for Cousins, when a once every decade player like Clowney or franchise caliber QB like Bridgewater would be there. |
Yeah Oakland won't give us a top 5 pick for KC

Kinda wish we'd pick up Harper who just got cut by the Seahags. He was someone I remember reading a few articles before the draft that thought he would fit perfectly in our offense as he can block and is a big red zone target.

Re: Around the NFL 2013 Offseason (Episode 99)
The Seahawks one big deficiency in talent is WR. They have some playmakers on offense but WR is thier Achilles heel so to speak. If they didnt see value in keeping him and we already have two of our own on the practice squad, then I wouldn't be too worried about getting him. Lewis proved he could be a receiver who goes and gets the ball. I want to see what we can develop him into. I also see a guy like nick Williams being someone to groom as a prototypical slot WR behind Moss if not then keep looking.

All he does is win games, at every level. Funny to see the hate this guy has gotten. |

Yeah he wins games, not the team. Don't hate him at all, the man can't throw plain and simple but the backing for this guy is crazy and the reasons people give for why he should be a quarterback is just dumb. |

I think he has a higher ceiling than Cousins. That kid looks like one of the best pure passers I've seen in a while. Plus he's mobile. He will be the first pick next year and Oakland will take him. |
