STFU, it certainly was. trump defended them.

His remarks were welcomed by former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke, who tweeted: “Thank you President Trump for your honesty & courage to tell the truth.”

No it wasn’t. It was Trumptard violence and they hijacked the Republican party. Are you just unable to find any trannys in Charlottesville to blame it on?
The oblivious fool strikes again!
It just took 2 years for Biden to get us here. Pretty amazing
Economists at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco found that fiscal support measures in the U.S., including the bills passed in 2020, raised inflation by about 3 percentage points. But they also found that the stimulus checks caused U.S. disposable income to surge and then drop back down, and that those peaks came in mid-2020—when the first stimulus checks were sent out—and early 2021.

Some economists are even skeptical that the stimulus measures contributed as much as three percentage points to inflation. Research shows that most consumers saved the money they received from 2020 stimulus payments or used it to pay off debts.

And while U.S. inflation was previously running higher than inflation elsewhere, which might suggest that stimulus payments had a role, that’s no longer true. In September, inflation in the European Union was 10.9%, higher than that in the U.S., even though Europe did not issue stimulus checks to the degree that the U.S. did.

“This blaming Biden for inflation is just silly – inflation is a global phenomenon,” says Robert Kaufmann, a Boston University professor who studies energy and economics.

The simplest explanation for inflation, he says, is this: when COVID-19 began, businesses who were worried about the possibility of a long recession drastically cut production. Oil companies stopped searching for new drilling spots, factories canceled orders for parts, and consumer-facing businesses laid off workers.

Ha, I understand fairly well.

Man, imagine the brainworms it takes to think a democrat run house and Biden run White House isn’t responsible for inflation. Lol. Major economist larry summers (Obama guy) and Mohamed El-Erian (world renowned) have each documented the polices, immense federal spending, energy polices, etc of the last two years which lead to where we are. Unfortunately when you deny inflation is happening like the administration did, it allows it too get worse.

And even Biden’s own Janet Yellen has come out and apologized for their mishandling of inflation…so they have admitted it. You gotta raise interest rates and at the sametime cut spending. Biden should have raised interest rates 8 months before he did and overspent with democrats only back bills.

Also energy prices are a driver…and he went green new deal: raised taxes on producers, imposed regulations, stopped leases and permits, ended pipelines, blocked pipelines, etc.

This is only Biden’s and democrats making.

However, in nominating the 64-year-old Powell, Trump is breaking with decades of presidential tradition by not retaining the current Fed chair: Barack Obama kept Ben Bernanke, Bill Clinton stayed the course with Alan Greenspan, and Ronald Reagan renominated Paul Volcker.

https://www.nbcnews.com/business/economy/trump-likely-nominate-jerome-jay-powell-replace-yellen-fed-chair-n816771

-------------

Does the President Have Power Over the Fed Chair?

The President has some power over the chair, but it isn't direct. The President nominates the chair and is permitted to be vocal about the direction of the Fed, but the President cannot direct the Fed to raise or lower interest rates. Members of the Board of Governors of the Fed serve 14-year terms, which obviously has some presidential overlap and keeps the Board independent.
