Re: The Most Fresh & Cordial Political Thread Ever
Mooby haven’t seen this story boosted on Reddit, by the liberal Verge outlet:
https://www.theverge.com/2022/11/7/23445476/elon-musk-twitter-user-growth-all-time-high-advertisers Twitter’s daily user growth hit “all-time highs” during the first full week of Elon Musk owning the platform, according to a company document obtained by The Verge. Since Musk’s dramatic takeover, Twitter’s monetizable daily user (mDAU) growth has accelerated to more than 20 percent, while “Twitter’s largest market, the US, is growing even more quickly,” according to an internal FAQ obtained by The Verge that was shared with Twitter’s sales team on Monday to use in conversations with advertisers. Per the FAQ, Twitter has added more than 15 million mDAUs, “crossing the quarter billion mark” since the end of the second quarter, when it stopped reporting financials as a public company. Lotta this energy the last couple posts: You guys are fine. I get it
Sweet stuff brah. How much money is Elon making off those fresh users? Surely he's in the green now right? |

Ask yourself, was Twitter ever in the green? |

I too can pull links out of my ass proving my position is better than yours. One area you do got me beat which I'm happy to concede - guessing there's more users saying ni**er with the hard R on Twitter than there was two weeks ago. |

Interesting read.
"As an evolutionary biologist, I am quite used to attempts to censor research and suppress knowledge. But for most of my career, that kind of behavior came from the right. In the old days, most students and administrators were actually on our side; we were aligned against creationists. Now, the threat comes mainly from the left......." Mooby is mad now because people he likes are being suspended on Twitter. When liberals were censoring on Twitter he was fine with that. |

Chico, SD, nonniey .. you guys won. The culture war game plan won.
The chemical castration and teaching students about slavery are big voting topics apparently. I look forward to gutting military aid to Ukraine, the non stop investigations into a presidents son making foreign money while his dad was not in politics, attacks on the FBI and State legislatures making them immune from being voted out in the future ... Congratulations. |

Re: The Most Fresh & Cordial Political Thread Ever
The problem is this, there needs to be accountability
We told democrats inflation was real and not transitory We told democrats their energy policy will hurt the economy, cause inflation and crush middle class/poor folks We told democrats that masking kids in school and having remote learning would lead to learning loss, mental illness and hurt the most vulnerable kids in the poorest communities We told democrats to keep sex, identity, gender, crt and politics out of school We told democrats paying people to stay at home and not work would hurt the economy We told democrats defund the police & criminals justice reform would lead to higher crime and hurt the most vulnerable communities in the country We told democrats Biden would let illegals, criminals, terrorists, fentanyl cross the border without impunity and lock kids in cages. We told democrats spending out of control would lead to continued inflation and run record deficits |
Re: The Most Fresh & Cordial Political Thread Ever
I wish a republican president had to take over in 2020 .. when the covid bill comes due, russia invades ukraine, world is hit with inflation and recession
2024 we should just be coming out of a recession .. and whoever is president in 2024 will get credit for just being in at the right time. Taking over the presidency in 2020 was a bad time to get elected |

I actually thought the story was funny - Elon - the free speech absolutist that he is - can't handle users making fun of him. But hey, Twitter is his ball, he can play it how he wants. You guys can say whatever - the only part of Twitter that I find useful is keeping up with breaking news from Keim/Finley/etc. Everything else is just gravy. |

I think you are wrong on the alot bit. On the Ukraine crisis Trump would have been far worse. Inflation probably wouldn't have been as bad but it would have happened due to the war, although not having a war on domestic oil would certainly have been beneficial to inflation (and yes even the environment) Trump wasn't particularly good with COVID either (It was some GOP Governors - ie Desantis, that got that right not Trump). |

You “think,” but you got hypotheticals and I can point to the data and the policy that reinforces it under Biden. Yes we know Biden lied about inflation, yes we see his spending attributed to it, yes we see his laughable energy policy crushed middle, poor classes as well as small business owners as well as attributed to inflation, yes we see he failed to get the fed to raise interest rates, yes we see his regulatory environment helped increase inflation. We see all of his policies and how he is solely responsible for it. |

Unfortunately, he's toast and so is Desantis. Trump is definitely going to announce he is running on Tuesday. Once he does the 2024 election is essentially over it becomes a foregone conclusion that the Dems will win. Reasons are Trump will be overwhelmingly favored to win the nomination but he can't win the general election. If somehow he gets defeated in the primaries he and his cult will turn on whoever stole (- because that is how he and his supporters will characterize it) the nomination, and sink the GOP nominee. |

Don't disagree with any of this. But all I can do is use my own vote the best I can. Can't control anyone else. |
Re: The Most Fresh & Cordial Political Thread Ever
trump takes no responsability for anything.
https://news.yahoo.com/trump-wants-mcconnell-failing-stop-171209412.html Trump Wants McConnell Out for Failing to Stop Him From Screwing Up the Midterms “He isn’t making explicit asks, but he wants to see more Republicans holding Mitch accountable,” a person close to Trump told CNN. According to CNN sources, in phone calls with allies, Trump has bashed McConnell, claiming he wasted money in races where Republicans faced an uphill battle while ignoring candidates who had a better chance at winning. Trump aides have mentioned Alaska’s Senate race, where the McConnell-aligned super PAC, Senate Leadership Fund, spent $5 million attacking Trump-endorsed Republican candidate Kelly Tshibaka, who was challenging incumbent GOP Sen. Lisa Murkowski. Tshibaka now leads Murkowski by almost 1.5%, putting her at an advantage going into the upcoming runoff election. |
