Also imagine what would have happened if they would have just went ahead and gone to trial. The DA wouldn't have had all this time to think of ways to get Sean behind bars.

Now if the three individuals Taylor is alleged to have treatened are all female and they are all pregnant, will the charge be elevated to six counts including accosting fetuses?

And what if they are gestating twins or triplets?

One thing I learned from Taylor's Virginia traffic stop is to hear the whole story before passing judgement. In that case, the judge found that the charges were unsupported by the facts. The Virginia trooper's own video cam showed that Taylor passed the sobriety tests and was neither disrespectful nor resisting arrest. All the charges were dropped.

But Taylor keeps finding himself in these pickles when he should know better. When I was a younger man, a little kid told me it was easier to stay out of trouble than than to get out of trouble. I liked the way that was put. Sean doesn't try to duck trouble. He runs headlong to it. That's going to burn him someday. If not in this incident, then later.

Without Taylor, the defensive middle if very vulnerable. And Ryan Clark becomes more valuable.

None of us really wanna hear that...but that was a very sobering post.... You're a Millionaire now not a gangster .... too many people are counting on him... What ashame kinda reminds me of Dexter Manley....

Sean Taylor is the baddest, most talented defender to ever play in the league. And his thug demanor adds to the excitement of watching him play. He is without a doubt my favorite athlete.

If he goes to jail, the Redskins will have a tough time trying to be a super bowl team next year. he is a phenomenal player.

he may well be the best safety in the game if not now he will be very soon.... very sad...

do you mean in a "last boy scout-wide receiver pulling a gun out on a post route and shooting the defenders" kind of way?

i think his play speaks for itself... the thug element has nothing to do with why we watch him on the field.

i think the media hype surrounding him adds to the allure of watching. The way Wilbon talks about him in that one article, most NFL WR's reading that are going to get chills going down their spine.

He can run like Jerry Rice and hit like Night Train Lane, and if he does hit you a little too far out of bounds or just a little late after the whistle, then so be it. Have you noticed that more receivers are dropping balls against the Redskins than in previous seasons? That's largely because they're distracted by the presence of Sean Taylor. Yes, there are players who are afraid of Taylor, just like they were afraid of Lane and Jack Tatum and Ronnie Lott and Dick Butkus. Taylor will mangle you. Any coach worth the chalk he uses to diagram plays loves that from his free safety.

While admittedly not knowing what the evidence consists of, I hope he just takes a Jamal Lewis plea and spends a few months in the big house over the offseason and returns come September.

The thing is that I am pretty sure that he can not take a plea, due to Flordia's gun laws. I am pretty sure that no matter what the minimum that he would have to server would be 3 years for each account. And that makes me want to :vomit: .

I think in a plea agreement, the DA would drop the aggravated assault charge in exchange for Taylor copping to a lesser charge, like simple assault.

If you're reading about ANYBODY in the paper who ALLEGEDLY did something, and then passing judgment on that person, then you're guilty of prejudice. There is an assumption of innocence until proven guilty in the court of law. So until Taylor is convicted, if it even happens, it's irresponsible to look upon him with any semblance of disdain.

At most, you could say Taylor is an idiot for getting himself into a confrontational situation. But to start labeling someone a thug based on ALLEGATIONS is very premature.
