I think the point here was to pick a player, but it's clearly Gibbs. High profile underperforming players have been the face of the redskins since 1992, but that all changed by design when Gibbs returned. Gibbs is building a workmanlike team full of team first high character men. By design Gibbs takes all the blame when things go wrong and spreads around all the credit. He wants a total team in which no player stands out above the team as a whole.

Portis is too big of an idiot to be the face of this team. The only person that can and should be the face of this team is Joe Gibbs.

Clinton Portis with out a doubt.If Moss has another huge year he could start knocking on Clinton's door. But for now I would say #26. I hope he's not on the Madden Cover this year! :(

I don't. Did it matter that Riggins got drunk and acted like a fool, albeit a funny one, in front of a Supreme Court Justice? All that mattered was that he knew when to show up and when it was important to take care of his s--t.
