Re: Lavar Tribute
He was going to be available at the start of free agency one way or another.
And again, the point is that he could have screwed the skins if he wanted to. He didn't, so there's no reason to hate him for the way he left. It was a mutual parting between player and coaching staff. I don't get what the big deal is.
To quote Lee Corso....Not so fast my friend! They could have held onto him until June 1st and received 7 million of relief for 2006. There are at least 20 articles which back this up. |

Both parties benefitted? Ok, so what's the problem? Skins get full cap relief earlier heading into the start of free agency, and Lavar gets to test the market. So if everybody wins, why are people still holding a grudge? It doesn't make sense. Lavar's decision to forego the $$ and leave now is better for the skins in every single way than if he would have forced them to cut him. I'm not asking everyone to call him a saint, I'm just pointing out that there's no reason for the hatred that some seem to have. |

Brad Johnson is a play it safe, non-competitive, made for Norv Turner, ass clown who never threw downfeild, never led anyone, and never should have been brought to Washington in the first place. Dude always played for percentages and contracts. He and Norv always used to say the same things... "Well, we went out there and competed real hard. I fealt like we were in the game until late in the fourth. We'll just have to practice hard this week, and maybe we'll have better luck next week." WHAT A COUPLE OF LOSERS! I think Jeff George was a first rate jackass, but at least his problems came from not being able to control his short passes, not because he was scared to lower his passer rating. Does anyone here remember when George started to ignore the coaching a bit, and just starting airing it out. 20 yard in patterns on a dime? Like he did in Minnesota, under a coach that had the stones to call productive plays? |
