Can we get back to talking about football? I think the Landry question is one of the most interesting topics to discuss regarding the upcoming draft. It seems like a move that is outside of the box but that is exactly why I like it. Plus, if it is even an option in the minds of the Redskins decision makers, it is flying completely under the radar.

It would be splashy and a bit "controversial" and that's exactly why I don't like it. Sometimes it doesn't hurt to just be boring and go for the conventional choice. We always try to make the front page top fold headline, but we don't need to be.

If we trade down and Landry is one our picks that's fine, but I don't think we're better off picking him #6 and passing on D-Line help

I heard the Falcons are high on LaRon Landry. If rumors started floating that we were targeting Landry as well, Atlanta may come off one of their second round picks to swap first round picks with us. That would put us in the 8th spot, where we could still get one of the elite D-lineman in the draft....

Yeah, it's outside of the box, and yeah he could be a great safety... but honestly ask yourself what's the best choice to win football games. I think our DL is so sub-par right now.

I think it was beem earlier who said that last year wasn't a fluke... the DL is just getting old. I tend to agree with him. maybe we should start investing draft picks on a DL, maybe trade down and get a couple. Who knows, but I really don't want to go into next season with the same DL, somethings has to change.

Believe me, thinking about Taylor with Landry gives me the chills, it would be fun to watch... but it won't win as many games when the QB has all day long in the pocket.

PorterHouse, I think you're probably alluding to how we teased JohnJayWilliams about his inability to write legibly. And fine, a line was probably crossed. It could have been like that Cowboys fan (can't remember his name now) who constantly butchers English but it's not his first language so that's understandable.

But your response to that was, and continues to be, way way way out of line.

Oh, I dont think we should draft Landry. If we had a 2 draft picks in the first round like N.E. does, then I would seriously consider getting Merriweather back together with S.T. and get a Dline guy or Grubbs.
