I think it's perfectly reasonable for me to believe that Fox is more biased in its reporting than the other networks.
when your pretty much the only network that leans to the right, your going to stick out and be noticed. |
Re: Merged Thread: Romney Drops Out; Can McCain Defeat Democrats?
Fox is most assuredly more supportive of the "old time" values that are favored on the right. I like the perspective though, a majority of the rest of the country's media outlets are owned by former hippies.

Not all Democrats are bad people. Today there is one fewer in the good column, unfortunately. RIP Rep. Lantos.

Is it your position that all Democrats ARE bad people? I was trying to be generous. |

Yes, lets just judge everyone by their political affiliations. So you're being generous by saying that most democrats are bad people but they're some who aren't? |
Re: Merged Thread: Romney Drops Out; Can McCain Defeat Democrats?
so because one republican senator was caught in a bathroom, they are all?

Re: Merged Thread: Romney Drops Out; Can McCain Defeat Democrats?
i think, for the most part, all people serving in political office mean the best. their views get skewered by money and power. and some by their own parties agenda. we need to over look the , " if a republican said it, it must be right" mentality. this also goes for the democrats. all i know is, whoever takes over running this great country, they have one helluva a mess to clean up

Re: Merged Thread: Romney Drops Out; Can McCain Defeat Democrats?
I'm kind of glad McCain is so far ahead. I don't think Huckabee can catch up that dude doesn't believe in anything. He doesn't believe in gay marriage which many people don't and I can get with that. But he doesn't even wanna allow civil unions and then compares 2 gay people being together as similar to beastiality. He doesn't believe in evolution or probably photosynthesis.
He'd probably suggest a constituational amendment against interracial marriage if he got the chance. I don't like McCain (Hell I'm a democrat, I'm not really for any Republican) But I'd rather see McCain anyday over Huckabee. |

I think I demonstrated by expressing my sadness at the passing of Lantos that I am capable of overlooking someone's party affilliation. But I think it's odd that you would expect a Republican to think that Democrats are good people. I certainly don't think that Democrats believe Republicans are good people. They're always accusing us of stealing from the poor, beating up gays, dragging blacks down the highway behind our pickup trucks while we sing aloing to Toby Keith. The whole thrust of Democratic politics is to portray themselves as forces of light, fighting against the evil forces of Republican darkness. So I feel I'm perfectly entitled to hold the same opinion in reverse. |
Re: Merged Thread: Romney Drops Out; Can McCain Defeat Democrats?
its really time for a democrat in the white house

That's a pretty narrow way of handling it. That's like saying if someone killed my dog, I should be able to kill theirs in return. Kinda not the best way of looking at things. I believe Republicans are fine people so long as their main intent isn't on putting people down/getting rid of them (Gays, Blacks, etc) Democrats aren't free of blame either. But come on, its politics. Everyone lies, cheats and steals from everyone else. One of the reason things are so screwed up is because nobody wants to reach over the damn political lines and try to work together. This whole, you act like this towards me, so I'm gonna act like this towards you is part of the reason why the world is so ****ed up now. Is it that hard to just be civil towards one another? Nobody said you ever had to like them, just respect them so long as they respect you and if they don't you leave it alone. Not drag it through the mud. |
