Re: Report: Michael Jackson Dead at Age 50
Even though I was still young, MJ was big stuff in the 90's. I remember listening to his music all the time when I was pretty young. Anytime I was at a family get-together, wedding, etc. or any kinda of place that needed upbeat music at times, MJ's stuff was the first to be played.
I don't know the truth about all the stuff that happened later in his life, but his impact on the world via music is hugely positive and I really doubt there will be a figure like that in a long time. Like someone said, Beetles, Elvis and him. RIP. |

He did have some similarities with the king. Prescription drug use? He married the Kings daughter. Big time recluse. Self-proclaimed King of pop, etc. |
Re: Report: Michael Jackson Dead at Age 50
Just heard on the news that MJ had a live in DR. who now is missing and the cops are looking for him. This is going to get nasty before its all over with and I'm guessing that a few Dr's will be in some trouble.

He was a true legend -- the greatest single performer of all time.

Re: Report: Michael Jackson Dead at Age 50
Whether you like him or not, Michael Jackson was an amazingly talented musician/songwriter/choreographer/videographer/humanitarian. As others have pointed out, looking back over the last 60 years of music, you have the Beatles, Elvis, and Michael Jackson (Someone on the radio last night threw out the name Frank Sinatra, which I won't argue with). No one else comes comparably close in terms of music icons or legends.

Re: Report: Michael Jackson Dead at Age 50
On the outside I pretend that it's no big deal and I do not care. That is how I want to feel about the situation anyway. The truth is that I was holding back tears and other emotions on my way to work this morning. Wierd...I discovered that I do have a heart.

Seriously. Some EMT probably snapped that picture on his/her cell phone and sold it to E or TMZ or whomever. Lame. |

This falls in line with those disturbing, released, 911, recordings. |
In my opinion, he's one of the greatest artists of all time. And, having studied a lot of the information in the cases brought against him he's innocent of the charges. He did a lot of good things for kids and greedy parents tried to extort him and play on his naivete for their own gain. I don't think Jackson always made smart decisions, but I don't think he did the things he was accused of.
Regardless, this isn't about past court cases. I hope he gets better soon, but he always one of those guys you thought might just go young.
can you elaborate on what you studied that made you so sure he was innocent? I was under the assumption he was guilty as are million and millions of other people. On the way to work the radio station i was listening to had people calling in saying screw that child molester, why we talking about him?,and no one stood up for him. Whether he was guilty or not the dude was a freak, big time. But,anybody that gets that famous probably has no chance of not becoming a freak, just a sad story. He's probably out of his misery now,he wasnt just the worlds most famous person,he was known as the worlds most famous child molester,I would not want to live like that R.I.P. MJ hope your children can grow up normal, but I dont see how |

So this may have been explained already, if so, I offer my sincere apologies! However, Michael Jackson's PENIS was CORRECTLY identified by a child. Remember the whole "poka-dotted" penis thing? Due to the fact that his bleaching of skin (don't care if he called it a "condition", he was trying to be white...don't forget he said he never had plastic surgery!) his penis was left with black spots on it. A child (I think several, but I do not recall) correctly identified it. Meaning, there is NO WAY ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH he was innocent. How can you possibly think he was innocent when a child correctly identified his penis????? |

100% agree. The man was certainly an amazing entertainer. However, molesting children will certainly tarnish his legacy, and should not be elevated to such lofty heights do to that. Was OJ one of the best RB's of all time...absolutely. But it's very rare to hear him in such a discussion. And IMO, what Jackson did was worse! You don't molest little kids...I can somewhat "comprehend" getting amazingly jealous and killing your ex wife out of jealousy and rage (note that I certainly do not agree with it, just it can be comprehended), but I can not under any circumstances what-so-ever comprehend molesting innocent little children. Why people believe his innocence is beyond me...he lied to us several times over his life most notably the comments that he never had plastic surgery. HAHAHA...he didn't even care that the lie was so blatent that everyone would laugh their asses off. He was a great entertainer, and I'll certainly give him credit for that, but it's a shame such great talent was stuffed into such a crazy person. |
