at 100mph, that means the Redskins will have covered 67,200 miles when FA starts.

If the circumference of the Earth at the equator is 24,900 miles, that means the Redskins will have travelled around the globe just about 3 times (or a quarter of the way to the moon) to find Redskins Football players!

Of course, BA may have been speaking figuratively, but maybe not :-)
nice #s. Didn't realize the earth's circumference at the equator was only 24,900 miles!
Cooley is one, JC possilbe, don't be suprised that we ship off in a package deal, Portis and ARE, high 3rd, just to free up money, my long shot would be both of S.F.1st round picks for Haynesworth and JC and our 5th
You are out of your mind if you think in any circumstance Hayneworth gets traded. He in essence would then be paid 40 Mil for one year and even the richest owner in the league would never do that regardless.

I think he means the players will have to run laps at 100mph and cover at least 67,200 miles by the time the season starts.

That will do wonders for their fitness and stamina, especially Haynesworth. :laughing2

Yeah, but at that point what are we going to do with a 170-200 pound defensive tackle?

Just a second? It's a no-brainer. Even a third warrants consideration.
Depressing? So it would be less depressing if we kept the same vanilla defense that can't create turnovers and the same crap offense that can't score? I would call the upcoming moves exciting, not depressing.

Also, I don't really think it's going to be a total rebuild. Offensive line is probably the only position that is going to get a total overhaul.
OMG relax or shut the hell up. That's not what I meant, I am just saying that its tough for me as a fan to enter another season not knowing what to expect. Did I once insinuate that Shanny is a bad coach or that this team won't improve? All I am saying is that right now, no one knows if this will work or blow up. And excuse me if I am not a dumbass like you who gets excited for any big name coach that comes in...wasn't Spurrier supposed to turn us around? Gibbs? How did those work out exactly?

I don't think GMScud's post merited such a response. Telling him to relax when you're the one who called it depressing seems a bit odd. And calling him a dumbass is equally ridiculous. Weak post all around

take it easy buddy. you should have done a better job of explaining yourself in your first post. your first post makes you sound as if your disappointed that the skins are changing things up.
i think as a skins fan you should be excited that the skins are bringing in a new gm and a proven head coach along with a new staff. the skins could not continue with vinny, zorn and company.

Take some of your own advice, my friend. :confused-
The Redskins can't do any worse than the past decade. We do throw enough money around to attract enough talent here to finish mediocre every year.
Think positively, the Saints did a total overhaul with a top 5 pick, new coaching staff, and are about to win the SuperBowl on Sunday..:pimp:

The Saints also got a stud QB that year.

What? So you draft a guy in the 3rd that plays like a 1st or 2nd and then you consider a 3rd pick? Maybe if it was another 5 years from now.
