Re: New possible trade/draft scenarios

Everyone keeps talking about trades involving Landry, Andre Carter, Jason Campbell, Moss, Cooley. Has anyone heard if theres actually been any interested teams inquiring or is this all just speculation?
How about calling up Al Davis and swing a deal with the Raiders? We could do this deal:

To Oakland:
Washington's #1 (4th overall) 1800 points
Jason Campbell QB

To Washington:
Oakland's #1 (8th overall) 1400 points
Oakland's #2 (39th overall) 520 points
Oakland's #5 (158th overall) 28 points
Oakland's #3 2011
I don't think even Davis would bite on that
picks aren't everything. these are proven vetrans. We just need enough picks to get 2 starting tackles.
exactly.. plus you have to start replacing those players as well

that's a lot of guys to ship out after what we've already cut.. gotta think about who would be replacing them

Maybe Davis is dyslexic and will think he is getting CJ Spiller instead of JC ;)

If Al Davis can draft Heyward-Bey where he did I don't think this trade is out of the question. Maybe he'd be more willing if we didn't ask for a 3rd rounder next year.

The title of this thread should be "crazy Madden-esque scenarios."

This is a good trade for both teams. The Raiders have NO QB who can consistently play. Campbell has the arm to for the vertical passing game that Al loves. You could take out the 3rd in 2011 and the trade might be a little more balanced but a deal of our 1st and Campbell for their 1st, 2nd, and lowest 5th works for both teams. I was just trying to get back a McNabb pick from the Raiders who throw draft picks around like Cerrato did here for several years.

Throw in a Bill Belichick mask for Bruce Allen, and we have this deal done.

Isn't that really what the McNabb trade is though? I certainly didn't see it coming or ever thought it would/could happen.

^ Yes, I am as surprised as anyone by the McNabb trade. But that is "surprising," not "crazy." There's a difference.

Re: New possible trade/draft scenarios

JC to Oakland for their 2nd round (yes I do think it could happen)
trade our 1st to SF for their 2 first rounders

13th-Earl Thomas S Texas
17th- Anthony Davis OT Rutgers
2nd- Rodger Saffold OT Indiana
4th- montario hardesty RB Tennesse

I'd love this

Re: New possible trade/draft scenarios

We are not getting a 2nd rounder for JC, seriously, we just sent one for McNabb, do you think they have the same value? Maybe a low 3 or high 4th rounder. AH isn't gonna get us a 1, maybe a high 2 or low 2, his number will be to high if/when the cap comes back, and nobody will trade for him to cut him if they can't get under a new cap. And CC47 needs to stay put and give D-Mac the weapons with Moss, DT, Kelly, Davis, and now Parker in the passing game he hasn't had.

Re: New possible trade/draft scenarios

Trade Rogers and McIntosh to San Diego for their second round pick (#40)

Carter and our 5th rounder to NYJ for their first round pick. (29)

Haynesworth to Minnesota for their first rounder or their second (#62) and third rounders (#93).

We now have:
#4: Russel Okung OT
#29: Everson Griffin DE/LB
#40: Terrence Cody NT
#62: Jared Veldheer OT
4th round: Marshall Newhouse G
7th round: Antonio Brown WR

Re: New possible trade/draft scenarios

1. Rogers and Rocky for a 2nd and maybe a 5th...possible.

2. Carter and our 5th for a 1st, doubtful, especially to Jets, who use a 3-4 too, which he doesn't fit (supposedly).

3. AH92 for Minny's 1st, hmmm, and maybe their 3rd or 4th, I like that one.

...but don't forget, just because there is no Cap this year, people will still get cut in the summer, when some of the roster bonuses are do, I know, some have passed, but more due after the draft, plus when teams pick up youngsters and cut vets (Keyshawn), so there will be players to add later.
