Wouldn't be surprised if he was fired today, but it's not uncommon for he and Jones to fly back together on Jones' private jet, and he is at work today

Keith Brooking is not a moron.

What he said is precisely what a team leader has to say in the situation that the Cowboys find themselves in. Until and unless Phillips is fired - - reports are that he has been fired but I have not heard that from his or JJ's lips on TV yet - - Brooking and other leaders in that locker room have to stand with their coach.

And when a new coach/interim coach is named, it will be necessary for all the leaders in the locker room to rally around him - - - even if the new coacn/interim coach is one of the assistants on the team who has been one of the architects of the 1-7 disaster that is the 2010 Cowboys' season.

When they do that, they will not be morons then either...
