Who is the best Nose Tackle out there? Would he be a reach at either of our 2nd round draft picks?
Paea is the best NT left. I like him. I would draft him before I drafted Wisniewski. But, I think he is gone by 41.
Not that it means anything as far as how he plays on the field but did anyone see the sports science with Kaepernick? He made a pretty impressive throw off his back foot with people in his face.
I've only been saying this for months now. All of you guys that would rather have Mallet over Kaepernick or Dalton are stupid (but in a nice kind of way?).

Here is what is going to happen:

41: Wisniewski

49: Trade down later into the second

#?: Colin Kaepernick

Kaepernick has every single physical tool you'd want. Monster arm, he's 6'5, mobile...

I'm a big fan of Kaepernick, and I hope we draft him.

How confident are you that we will be able to find a partner to trade with? I would just take Kaepernick at 49 if he is still available.

And he's, by all accounts, a really quality guy. Quite the project though

And if we take him and he's successful, I think I owe Trevor Matich lunch...and that's going to render me broke

Any chance he could be a Josh Freeman type of guy? Smaller school, big kid, good arm, sort of under the radar through most of the draft process. That would be awesome.

I would too but I think there will be teams that want to trade up to get someone they have their hearts set on. If not, I would love taking Kaep at 49. I just don't want Mallet. I think he will be a mistake. Kaep or Dalton will be much better.

Kaepernick is the last QB in this entire draft that I wanted so it only makes sense that he will be a Redskin tonight...

Re: NFL Draft Day 2: Predictions

Mallet has way too much Ryan Leaf in him to make him worth drafting. Now maybe he matures and if he does he probably is going to be very good with that cannon of an arm, but giving an immature kid right out of college all that money is a recipe for disaster.

I wouldn't mind picking up Paea, Wisniewski and trading a pick next year to Carolina for Claussen. He can't be worse than Dalton, Kapernick or Mallett.

Re: NFL Draft Day 2: Predictions

Well, as to Mallet and "all that money" - yes. as a rookie he gets something you or I would consider obscene BUT relative to others in his professional peer group - not so much. At this point, regardless of where he is drafted, he is not going to be coming in as the "savior" but rather "the project". If we get Paea at 41 (crossing fingers after reading up on him - seems just what we need), and Mallet is in at 49, I wouldn't mind taking a shot at him.

Right now, I just want to get the best run stuffing NT left on the board with one of our two 2nd's.

He is worse than the first two IMO. I think Paea will be gone by 41 but he would be a nice pick up.

SS, who is Matich? I think you owe me lunch too. I've been pushing for Kaepernick since day 1. I'm cheap though. I'll be happy just going to subway. Eat fresh! lol
It's a shame for Bowers. At one point McShay had him as the #1 overall prospect. That knee injury must be pretty damn serious for this kind of free fall.
I agree. Think about this, Willis McGahee's knee was torn to shreds in the National Championship game, but the Bills still drafted him in the middle of the first. It tells me that this guy's knee issues must have been very serious to send a talent like him free falling.

Mallett is on the bottom of my list. I'll be a little angry if we get him.

I'd rather see Dalton, Stanzi, heck even Tyrod Taylor over the pothead who can't run.
