Re: WFT v. Packers Good Loss post-game
We knew going into the year everything begins with the defense and it was a god awful shit show. So seeing that start to turn a bit around is a positive cause in order to get back to winning it starts there.
I don’t think anybody is satisfied with the team yesterday, plenty of mistakes to point out which cost us the game. But the team today was better than the team several weeks ago. It’s really hard to win without a starting QB
So it was our QB that is the reason we lost 5 games? |

The only reason? No. One of many reasons? Definitely. |
Bro pointing out improvements in gameplay isnt a “narrative”…yes a loss is a loss. But astute fans of the Warpath brand know football and we can discern dumpfire from good football. Seeing the defense improve is what we have been waiting for…seeing the growth of Davis, the improve play of Collins since his reassignment is kinda what diehards do here.
Yes you are what your record says you are, but seeing better play is welcoming
I'd actually like to tone this particular point down a little bit. Yes this week he wasn't exposed on egregious blown coverage or ugly missed tackle, but he still made some very bad plays IMO, here are 2 of them: |
The last 2 weeks the offense has become the problem and the D has been mostly "good enough".
You mean the last 1 week right? Last week the D was ok in the 1st half and then as bad as they had been all year in the 2d half. Yesterday was the only game the defense has been ok -not great - but ok. |
Re: WFT v. Packers Good Loss post-game
I think we can all agree there is work to be done on both sides of the ball. No reason to try n figure out who is responsible for losing. Lol. It is the offense. It is the defense. It is the staff. We have yet to play a complete game on both sides of the ball.

Re: WFT v. Packers Good Loss post-game
I wonder if he's lacking confidence in a) himself, b) his body (injury already mentioned) or c) both? Seems hesitant more than anything, though yes he could be just slow.

Re: WFT v. Packers Good Loss post-game
Just cause Ron put Collins near the line and blitzed him doesn't cover up his weaknesses. He still will have to cover at some point and that is a lost cause. It's free money and an easy read for the QB when he has to cover. It's like Ron is trying to patch up a leaky faucet. Just cut your losses and release him. The tape doesn't lie. Collins is not good at football. If Collins wasn't making the money he is he'd be long gone.

He was slow before he got hurt. |
You can move the offense all day but the only thing that matters is coming away with points, 23 points in the last 2 weeks is downright pathetic. I like TH as a backup but that's it.
I don't even want him as a backup. I want all my QB's to be able to push the ball down the field. He is too easy to defend. |

Another Bruce Allen gift to us… |
Re: WFT v. Packers Good Loss post-game
The thing is the defense is obviously where we were supposed to be strong. Not the offense. The d had expectations. They are almost the worst in the league. Even more disturbing is they are an absolute train wreck shit show on 3rd down. That is truly the sign of a bad defense- when you can not get off the field on 3rd down. If they play a so so game that is like a moral victory. SMH.

But Ron has no loyalty to him so just move on. He had no problem cutting Haskins. It is so obvious to the eye that the other guys are better- meaning they can at least tackle, are better athletes and aren't as slow. I don't get it. |
Re: WFT v. Packers Good Loss post-game
I’d say one thing, Jon Allen is having a All-Pro year
Jamin Davis is improving This front four is not the problem, Holcomb and Davis don’t seem to be the problem either. Curl is a keeper, St Juice looks to have a future. Danny Johnson wasn’t bad yesterday |
