Re: Around the NFL 2022: Post Draft Edition
Marion Barber was a beast for a number of years -- always respected his game. He played with an attitude and never shied away from contact. I always thought he was underappreciated by Dallas (kind of like what they're doing now with Pollard, in fact). Sad news -- 38 is pretty darn young.

Barber was a tough RB to take down

Re: Around the NFL 2022: Post Draft Edition
RIP Barber, way too young

Re: Around the NFL 2022: Post Draft Edition
Ryan Fitzpatrick to retire. Big kudos to him for surviving in the NFL for 17 years as a journeyman QB. The last journeyman QB that lasted a long time in NFL that I could think of is Vinny Testaverde.

Re: Around the NFL 2022: Post Draft Edition
Props to RF, wish we could have seen him as our starter for a full season. Could have been fun.

I really don’t know why Watson attorney is doing radio interviews parsing out the happiness of a happy ending. Saying sex workers who give them are happy to do…that’s great I’m sure that’s the case for the thousands who are human trafficked in this country and around the world, forced into sex worked in an industry rife with abuse. Jesus man, your client is a creep period. A piece of shit. His words: A "happy ending" in terms of a massage is generally defined as a sex act at the end, according to dictionary.com. After the radio interview, Hardin told USA TODAY Sports he defines “happy endings” as consensual oral sex. “Happy endings are not a crime, and a happy ending is a consensual happy ending,” |

In actual football news, DK Metcalf is absent from the Seahawks' mandatory camp:

This Watson stuff is wild. 66 massage therapists in about 1.5 years. He is 1 weird SOB.

Just glad this isn't our issue to deal with. The Browns constructed the contract where he makes peanuts this year (based on QB/NFL salaries). And everyone knows about it. So I think it might hurt Cleveland more in the long run by structuring it that way. NFL might suspend him longer than just this season, solely based on how little Watson makes this year. Not arguing if that is right or wrong, just estimating. |
Re: Around the NFL 2022: Post Draft Edition
This Watson thing just keeps getting uglier. So glad he's the Browns mistake and not ours.

Yeah we were never the team to take that risk IMO. And it looks like a and more dangerous one by the minute... |

Time to cash out Danny, Washington could easily clear $5B |

I agree he was likely off our radar and wisely so. |
