Re: 2026 Commanders Draft Results
I'm still traumatized by Rivera picking Davis. It's ruining my enjoyment of this pick. I know it's a different front office and player, but it's still a mental block. Also, a pure off ball linebacker at 7 seems risky altogether.
No no no no way. I hear you. But no way. |
Re: 2026 Commanders Draft Results
If Downs is better than Styles I'll just give up on ever being excited about football.

Re: 2026 Commanders Draft Results
Daniel Jeremiah (NFL.com) had Styles ranked as the top defensive player. Here is his assessment:
"Rank 3 Sonny Styles Ohio State · LB · Senior Styles is a tall, long and rangy linebacker prospect. He made a smooth transition from safety to linebacker during his college career and put on an epic display at the NFL Scouting Combine. In the run game, he’s quick to key, read and fill to make tackles. He uses his length to press off blocks and has outstanding lateral range to pick up production on the perimeter. He’s a firm, reliable tackler with stopping power on contact. Styles is outstanding in coverage. He can carry slot receivers down the seam and smoothly mirrors tight ends all over the field. He’s an explosive blitzer and will run over running backs who try to block him in pass pro. Styles’ performance in the Big Ten title game against Indiana answered any questions about his game, as he was the best defender on the field in that matchup. He reminds me of Fred Warner as a player. It's hard to find prospects with Styles' combination of speed, athleticism and instincts." |
Re: 2026 Commanders Draft Results
Bain is sliding and it is a sin.

I think he is either going to completely dominate or just be a JAG. No in between. If he's a dominator whoever picks him has an A draft. |
Re: 2026 Commanders Draft Results
He has a motor and a half.

Bain feels like the kind of guy that somehow slips to the Ravens and is a stud. They always seem to manage that. I hate when NFCE teams do well in the draft -- NYG fans must be happy, and Dallas fans should be as well. And that never makes me happy. |
Re: 2026 Commanders Draft Results
Side note on Styles, dad played in the nfl. Dude is going to be a professional on day one.

Re: 2026 Commanders Draft Results
Wow. No draft is ever even close to what you think.
