it aint lloyds fault

Re: 10/8/06: Washington Redskins (2-2) at NY Giants (1-2)
i'm not blaming brunell, they have not tried at all to get down the field. he just overthrew that ball but the reason i think we lost this is saunders.
|
Re: 10/8/06: Washington Redskins (2-2) at NY Giants (1-2)
The O-line played horribly today - that explains why the offense is so bad. The defense has no excuses for surrendering 7 min drives.
|
Re: 10/8/06: Washington Redskins (2-2) at NY Giants (1-2)
We've played like trash regardless of the playcalling.
Don't let the players off the hook so easy. |
Re: 10/8/06: Washington Redskins (2-2) at NY Giants (1-2)
Fire Al Saunders..Lets start a petition lol
|
Re: 10/8/06: Washington Redskins (2-2) at NY Giants (1-2)
No run D today, pathetic

This game can't be blamed on Saunders. The defense should be blamed. Tiki is running all over us. I blame Gregg Williams. |
Re: 10/8/06: Washington Redskins (2-2) at NY Giants (1-2)
same thing happened last year in the meadowlands
|
Re: 10/8/06: Washington Redskins (2-2) at NY Giants (1-2)
None of Dan snyders shoping sprees ever pay off.....:(
|
Re: 10/8/06: Washington Redskins (2-2) at NY Giants (1-2)
We laid another egg in the Meadowlands, when was the last time we played well there?

i blame Wellington Mara

Re: 10/8/06: Washington Redskins (2-2) at NY Giants (1-2)
We got beat on the field today. We just didn't execute. Blaming the coaches is a cop-out.
|
Re: 10/8/06: Washington Redskins (2-2) at NY Giants (1-2)
Another 3rd down given up
|
Re: 10/8/06: Washington Redskins (2-2) at NY Giants (1-2)
Not good that we start 0-2 in the division. Its still a long season though. Defense has to get their shit together.
|
Re: 10/8/06: Washington Redskins (2-2) at NY Giants (1-2)
The D is a major concern now for the rest of the year. 5 games in and they haven't shown much.
|
Re: 10/8/06: Washington Redskins (2-2) at NY Giants (1-2)
I dont wanna hear it anymore this week...Gosh...Bottom line we should of won and we didnt....is this a bye week?
|
Re: 10/8/06: Washington Redskins (2-2) at NY Giants (1-2)
I respect Mark Brunell but I want him to go away after this year. Bad.

We didnt execute on the feild yes.... But not going for it on that 4th and 1 is the biggest fucking pussy move i've ever watched. That was fucking rediculous. I'm almost glad Hall missed the feild goal so they feel even dumber for it. |
Re: 10/8/06: Washington Redskins (2-2) at NY Giants (1-2)
So now we're back on Brunell?? I don't think anybody played well today. Let's stop with scapegoating this guy already.
|
Re: 10/8/06: Washington Redskins (2-2) at NY Giants (1-2)
I was not able to watch the game, cause they gave us the Green Bay/St.Louis game up here and I do not have the ticket, but following online it looks like we totally sucked a$$ today. I am so tired of losing to the Giants it is not even funny. 98 yards passing this is horrible. How can we not stop the Giants? Another divisional lose puts us in a huge hole. This is crap!

Re: 10/8/06: Washington Redskins (2-2) at NY Giants (1-2)
yeah, but all the 3rd and shorts we had and passing the ball late in the game and losing that bad? i just don't understand why they never even tried to get more production on the passing game.
|
Re: 10/8/06: Washington Redskins (2-2) at NY Giants (1-2)
Renaldo Wynn is a 3rd string D-lineman at best. Goldston is a rookie. Daniels is average. Andre Carter should go back to playing linebacker. How can we generate a pass rush against a good offensive line?
Do the Giants (by way of Pierce) really have our defense figured out? |

I knew you'd say that.;) Ask Malcolm. It was a stupid fucking call before hand...I was litterally shocked when I saw the feild goal unit on the feild. |
Re: 10/8/06: Washington Redskins (2-2) at NY Giants (1-2)
and when hall missed that we needed a lot more than 3 points
|

Re: 10/8/06: Washington Redskins (2-2) at NY Giants (1-2)
This is just embarassing. I'd almost take consistently bad play every week over this back and forth BS. We look Super Bowl-bound one week, next week it's like a bunch of highschool kids playing.
|
Re: 10/8/06: Washington Redskins (2-2) at NY Giants (1-2)
OL is horrible today, but hey let's bench Brunell
|
Re: 10/8/06: Washington Redskins (2-2) at NY Giants (1-2)
on the 30, we should've gone for it. very non-gibbsian thing he did there. what was 3 pts. really gonna do anyway?
it would've given the O-Line some confidence that after this game will be justifiably zero. |
Re: 10/8/06: Washington Redskins (2-2) at NY Giants (1-2)
I just don't see us having a shot in hell at winning a championship with Brunell at the helm For me I'm just like what's the point. Sure he can get us to the playoffs or maybe not, but to win 3 or 4 playoff games is just not in his future. He is just too one demensional. It's frustrating for us to be so back and forth and inconsistent and in my opinion to have no chance seems like a waste of the fans time. Obviously Joe Gibbs feels different so that's that, but it's starting to become obvious to more and more people I think.

Oh no doubt. I'm not trying to pin this on one play at all. But I still thought that during one of our few chances we had, during what was a somewhat close game, it was stupid to not take a chance there. Going down 10 wouldnt have helped us at all. |

The problems today were much deeper than Brunell. |

I blame Brunell more week 1 and week 2, I thought those were games where I can point to Brunell as the reason for why we sucked. I dont really think he helped lose this game anymore than anyone else. This ones on everyone, as usual when we play in NY. We should just forfiet these games from now on and take an extra bye. |

I was totally thinking the same thing.. I am so tired of feeling great about the team for a week, then watching them play like total crap the next week. Losing is understandable, every team will do that, but why can they not play decent each week, instead of looking like this is the first time they have seen a football in their life and then lighting a team up the next week. So now who do we want to win the Cowgirls/Iggles game? |
Re: 10/8/06: Washington Redskins (2-2) at NY Giants (1-2)
again, i don't think brunell is the problem. it's the guy calling pass plays on 3rd and 1, and kicking a field goal instead of going for it on 4th and 1 that is to blame. i'm obviously stuck on those two calls.
|
Re: 10/8/06: Washington Redskins (2-2) at NY Giants (1-2)
3rd and long and we throw a screen? wtf

Pinning this game on Brunell is absurd - there's plenty of blame to spread around. O-line has been pathetic, D-line is lousy, tackling has been bad, blocking has been bad. Coaches, players, everybody just looked like shit today. |

I guess. Back to the drawing board. |
Re: 10/8/06: Washington Redskins (2-2) at NY Giants (1-2)
Brunell is at eternal fault because he's not the playmaker he used to be and Jason Cambpell COULD be.
he's a good QB, but he can't be relied to save a game by himself like most people hope/expect from their starter. its hard for anyone to be hopeful on someone whose definitely on the downside of his career and declining. |
